Oste Sobrio In Brescia

This restaurant is located in the heart of Brescia, just steps from Piazza della Loggia. We sat outside for dinner, miraculously finding a table without a reservation, and it was wonderful. We enjoyed traditional dishes, made with quality ingredients and at reasonable prices, and we were truly satisfied. The staff were also excellent and very friendly. I absolutely recommend it.

A must-see in Brescia! We arrived from Munich late Thursday evening, around 10:30 PM, and despite the hour, we were greeted with great kindness. The food was truly excellent: we had the casoncelli and the tartare—everything was beautifully prepared, with the highest-quality ingredients. Fantastic value for money 👌 Filippo, the host, is incredibly kind and passionate, and his young, cheerful team makes the atmosphere even more pleasant. You can tell they work with heart and authenticity here. And then… Filippo's dog is gorgeous! 🐶💛 A place we absolutely recommend: authentic, welcoming, and of great quality.

Excellent restaurant, good cuisine with good quality products. ...that's why it's not easy to find a seat, so it's best to book well in advance.

Sunday lunch for two, just steps from the square. Despite being busy, the service was very quick. The food was really good (an excellent trio of polenta dishes), and the price was more than fair for the quantity and quality. Highly recommended.

On a Sunday in Brescia from Como, visiting museums (definitely worth a visit and discovering Roman Brescia!), we decided to stop at L'Oste Sobrio, an osteria just steps from Piazza della Loggia and Piazza Duomo. The atmosphere is informal and the welcome is genuine. Reservations are recommended: there were no seats available for 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM, but they gave us the option of lunch at 12:00 PM. All good, but we'll be back during the week so we don't have to rush to eat and have time to prepare the table for the next customers.

Romagnoli in trasferta Bresciana, alla ricerca della lieta patria, incappiamo all'Oste sobrio. Fu l'oste l'unico sobrio ad allietare le nostre gustative papille, mentre libiamo nei lieti calici. Antipasto della casa, bigoli con carne, accompagnando il vino di bestiame di eccelsa qualità. Dal Rosso del Garda al Regolo della Valpolicella, di calice in calice si arriva al noto tiramisù dell'oste, specialità suprema della casa. Final dolce amaro con il Ghibellino in calice che chiude soave serata in compagnia di cibo dal saper antico e dal sapor carnale. Ignorammo il dare che non può superar quanto avuto in codesta ostaria, unica esperienza, saggiata con diligenza e grande appetito. Grati all'Oste sobrio, al gentil servigio ricevuto da servitù cortese e gentile che allieta ancor di più delle libagioni assaporate. Col cuor vi porgiamo cortese saluto nell'attesa di palesar presto la nostra presenza ancor un volta all'Oste sobrio.
