Orlando In Forte dei marmi

A classic that strives to maintain tradition. Zero renovations (except for the space, which has been renovated). You either love it or hate it. Unpopular in the summer; you'll have to go out of season (when it's open). The prices, unfortunately, are like those of Forte dei Marmi (two focaccias and a slice of takeout pizza are over €30).

Historic Focacceria pizzeria, very good with excellent products

Focacceria "da Orlando" has always been famous. Its "focaccine" filled with mushrooms, tomato, prosciutto, and cream cheese, plus many others, the exquisite pizza, and the famous strawberry and cream tart, have filled the tables of Forte dei Marmi. It has also always been a gathering place for families, children, and friends. It has always been family-owned, ever since Pietro wandered the beaches with a basket full of these delicacies. It is located at the end of Via Cristoforo Colombo, in the area known as "Caranna." It's best to book, as it has always been very crowded and the place is not very large. It has a small outdoor area with tables and chairs. I remember once: the tables are shaped like little red mushrooms... to the delight of the little ones...!!!! CdM

A sensational place. Obviously, you shouldn't go there expecting 3-Michelin-star service, but rather with the goal of soaking up the atmosphere of a Versilia that perhaps no longer exists.

It's a local institution you can't miss. A one-of-a-kind atmosphere that many have tried to copy, but without achieving the same results. Prices are exorbitant for the portions, but well-balanced given the Forte's setting. Every choice is carefully chosen, everything is delicious, and the desserts are few but superb. The staff dedicated to preparing the food is very courteous and friendly. The wait staff, when I went (two nights ago), were snobbish and a bit snobbish. The ordering process is unusual but native to Orlando: you sit down, choose from the menu, and write down what you want in a notebook. You write down your name and hand it over. When the dishes are ready, you hear your nickname called over the speaker. I use cartoon characters 😂 for example.

Still the same after so many years. A Versilia must-see, full of memories.

Locale storico arredato come una volta, tutto in legno con le sedie da regista e le tovaglie a quadri. Non c'è servizio al tavolo, ognuno scrive la propria ordinazione su un foglietto e la si consegna al bancone. Quando la comanda è pronta si è avvertiti tramite altoparlante. Anche per le bibite il servizio è self service. Non lo conoscevamo, ma lo abbiamo scelto perché dispongono di schiacciatine anche senza glutine. Sia la schiacciata che i condimenti sono buoni (sia in versione normale che senza glutine), ma il prezzo è esoso si paga oltre 10€ per uno spicchio piccolo di focaccia.
