Origini Ristorante In Castrovillari

I had dinner in this restaurant yesterday, during a stop in Castrovillari on my way back to Sicily. I can say that the dinner here was worth the stop in this country! We had the place to ourselves, except for one table which was occupied shortly before we left. We were pampered with the offer of sparkling wine and toasted almonds and taralli at the beginning, then they also brought us excellent toasted bread with 3 samples of different oils. We liked all the dishes we ordered (2 first courses, a second course and the Pizzo truffle for dessert). At the end of the meal they also gave us a small bottle of oil as we had really enjoyed the tastings! The environment is cared for down to the smallest detail and the waiters are very helpful in explaining the dishes in detail. A definitely recommended place for a pleasant meal at an excellent quality-price ratio.

Following the indications of the reviews we chose this place to split the journey on the motorway: expectations respected! Excellent quality food, absolutely recommended!

Refinement and excellent raw materials but also a lot of taste for truly delicious dishes. Their tasting menu is a truly beautiful experience, worth trying. Punctual service, friendly but never intrusive. The classical background music is also pleasant. We'll be back

I was disappointed with this restaurant. The prices are definitely too high compared to the quality of the food and the service offered. The portions were small, and the dishes, although well presented, had nothing special in terms of flavour. Furthermore, the service was not very attentive, the waiter gave incorrect information on a dish despite the specific request. For what I paid, I expected much more. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for good value for money

Everything was excellent: hospitality, quality of food, cooked with creativity, assorted wines, delicious.... It is truly a pearl in catering!!! Thanks guys! We had a great time with you!

Restaurant chosen at random on the motorway but right choice, we ate very well, everything was good, friendly and professional staff. Too bad it won't be easy to get back, since I live far away
