Origini Ristorante In Castrovillari

While passing through Castrovillari, we had a great experience at Origini. The cuisine was meticulously prepared, with excellent, well-presented dishes using local ingredients. The service was attentive and unobtrusive. The quality/price ratio was excellent.

On our way back from vacation, we stopped for lunch at this Calabrian restaurant by chance. Excellent, distinctive, and homemade food, a clean atmosphere, and fast service. They make special artichokes in oil and delicious desserts!

Everything was delicious, especially the fish-based first courses. I highly recommend the fusilli with creamed zucchini and raw shrimp. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back.

An elegant venue with an intimate atmosphere created by the soft lighting and the pleasant outdoor space where we dined. The staff is friendly and attentive, always present but never intrusive, which contributes to making the experience even more enjoyable. The menu is varied and well-designed, with seafood and meat dishes, as well as vegetarian options. Each dish is carefully crafted with attention to detail and flavor. Of all the dishes, I highly recommend trying the Sibari rice with truffle. A restaurant that manages to combine quality, atmosphere, and courtesy: I will definitely be back.

A wonderful evening. We stopped by on our way to Sicily and were greeted warmly. All the food was excellent, and the service even better. A special mention goes to the Schiavone prawns and the homemade Pizzo truffle. As we chatted at the end of the evening, in addition to offering us a truly commendable "medicinal" bitter, we were told about various Calabrian experiences that left us eager to return to explore this region further. One word: thank you!

This place wants to be gourmet but if the portions are so small I don't think it's for me (according to my tastes). The service definitely needs improvement, you can't take a dish from me to give it to someone else...

Food was excellent, but a bit expensive for the region. The service was very helpful and competent despite our language difficulties. The music was sometimes a bit too loud.

I had dinner at this restaurant yesterday, during a stop in Castrovillari on the way back to Sicily. I can say that dinner here was worth the stop in this town! We had the place all to ourselves, except for one table that was taken shortly before we left. We were pampered with the offer of sparkling wine and toasted almonds and taralli to start, then they also brought us some excellent toasted bread with three different olive oil samples. We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered (two first courses, a second course, and Pizzo truffle for dessert). At the end of the meal, they even gave us a small bottle of olive oil as we had enjoyed the samples so much! The ambiance is meticulously designed, and the waiters were very helpful in explaining the dishes in detail. Definitely a recommended place for a pleasant meal at an excellent value.
