CHANGE REVIEW, I wrote one in June criticizing, as a long-time customer, the New Open Baladin, where the only thing that remained good was the staff, always extraordinary ... while the food had a lot of flaws ... TODAY, IN FEBRUARY 2026 and after many, many other times in which I returned to eat, for 6 months now, in this wonderful place I want to GIVE A APPLAUSE to the management who has changed and added the shot to return to the glories of the past ... 10 and praise for the quality of the meat, unsurpassable, and above all for the cooking ... it is among the few that does the meat cooked BLEU (rare blood, as they say) excellent hamburger buns, today soft and delicious and also welcome the new things like the wine ... IN SHORT, I promised, you will be back (incognito) to try again and I did, already almost 6 months and many times ... and It has NOT disappointed me anymore.. in fact it has even improved, if it could be done on the already high standard they had... DOUBLE APPLAUSE, proving that it was only an adjustment period. I'M GLAD THAT YOU ARE BACK AT THE TOP. THANK YOU

I recommend going just for a drink. I've been coming here for years, but recently I hadn't been going there for other reasons. Unfortunately, the food quality has gotten much worse compared to previous years. I had a cheeseburger, and it tasted like I was eating lettuce on bread because of how small the piece of meat was. I was also "forced" to get a burger because I was told the fried chicken, fries, and drink combo wasn't available (note: the €14 "menu" price tag). Nothing to complain about the beer, which is excellent as always. As for the bill, I only noticed now, three days after going there for dinner, that they added €3 more... oh well. I'll just go back for a beer; I'd say no to the food.

The beer selection is so-so... that's the only real positive.
As for the food, only snacks and appetizers.
Terrible experience with the bartender: always on his cell phone, he brought us things we hadn't ordered, and was rude the entire evening, as if he didn't want to work.
To make matters worse, the bill was wrong (I don't know if by mistake or out of cunning), and he didn't even apologize, pretending nothing had happened.

I returned to Open Baladin after not being there for about a year, and it was a very sad experience. I found the menu changed—for the worse, unfortunately—because many of the unique burgers that once populated the wonderful menu have been removed. Today, only a few banal ones remain: the classic, two practically identical ones (the Tyrolean and the cheeseburger), and a few others. The only remnant of the original flavors is the honorable one, which was quite good, but nothing special anymore.
While the flavors used to be enough to devour the whole thing in 30 seconds and leave me wanting more, this time I didn't have the same urge... quite the opposite! Even the bread has changed; now they serve a sweet oil bun, nothing like the bread from Roscioli or Bonci bakeries that used to complement the dishes. In short, the quest for the perfect combination of textures and flavors that once made the burgers refined is now completely absent. It seems like a menu clearly designed to save money (the fact that the flavors are replicated across the various options also confirms this "intuition").
By the way, I went yesterday, January 6th, an occasion that usually meant the place was packed. For the first time, we dined with two out of three rooms empty, and they were left almost completely dark, depressing.
The staff remains friendly and helpful, but changing such an amazing menu was a real loss. While I used to go there about 6-7 times a year (except for the last one), now I'd go back just to give it one last chance, hoping to rediscover something I loved... but with the fear that it might not happen. Let's hope we change our minds.

Love that place for the beer options ~ lot of choices. Food was limited to Burger/Pinse/ etc. but they usually have more options. Staff is kind.

It was a truly delightful evening, the service was very fast. The girls were both polite and smiling, and welcomed us with extreme kindness. The girl at the cashier was really nice. The female staff were wonderful. We had a really good time, the beer was excellent, and the food was equally delicious. Thank you for everything.
