We had an unforgettable stay at Albergo Omu Axiu. This place is more than a hotel—it’s a step back in time, an immersion into authentic Sardinian village life, and an experience we’ll never forget. The highlight of our stay was the warm hospitality of Monica and Gaia, who made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Our first night included an incredible traditional dinner—one of the best meals we had in Italy—and each morning began with a beautiful and abundant breakfast. The hotel is charming and full of character, and the attached museum adds a unique cultural layer that sets this place apart. You can feel the history in the architecture, the decor, and the overall atmosphere. It’s the kind of spot that invites you to slow down, soak it all in, and appreciate a part of the world that feels both rare and special. If you’re looking to get off the beaten path and have a more genuine, soulful Sardinian experience, this is the place. Highly recommended!
