The Oltre menu had some great dishes, especially the pasta dishes, which were very good. The venison fillet was okay, but the mushrooms were unfortunately lacking in flavor. The cannolo was a bit too salty. I thought the pan brioche was very good.
The cocktails were great!
Friendly service, but sometimes a bit impatient when clearing plates. They also didn't ask if we wanted any more drinks.
We liked the decor, including the toolboxes.
Overall, a good experience with room for improvement.

We had high expectations, which were only partially met.
The appetizers (one antipasti and one pasta) were very tasty, but the main courses were a bit off in terms of food pairing.
The timing could also be better; our aperitif wasn't finished yet, and the appetizer arrived before we had even had a chance to order wine.
The decor is trendy, but too dark.
The service was friendly, but not everyone was on the same level.

Not worth the price... There was an atmosphere of rushing, we were served by at least 4 different people, which made it feel not very personal. At least most of them were nice. The waiters were always rushing around us. The restaurant was full but it is not big, so no need to hurry that much. The room is dark with only small light on the table, with every guest that left a lamp went out, leaving the last ones basically in a dark room encouraged to leave as well.
The food was good, but not better than in other places. Would not recommend.

Took Hubs for his birthday.
Imaginative tasting menu. Was curious about 2 pastas back-to-back but both tasty. Fish lacked any flavour and the raw bok choi was difficult to chew. The tuna sauce on the horse carpaccio was also weirdly lacking in any flavour.
Tasty cocktails. Delicious wine pairing.
Dessert was good but lacked some fanfare/visual impact we've had with fine dining tasting menus.

One of the best meals we’ve had in Italy after 2 weeks. The tortellini is a stand out.

We had the chefs tasting menu. Cocktails were excellent, we almost ordered two. The first two bites excellent. After that the symphony turned into snare drum solo, one note each, and some of the courses the drummer dropped the sticks. Tortellini was good with a nice sauce. The pasta with the Tuscan style ragu, quite honestly was the same as I had in a walk in restaurant in Florence, unremarkable. Beef tongue, again unremarkable, we had to brainstorm to even remember it 20 minutes later. Then the low point, veal cutlet with delicate taste and cooked tough was buried under strong prosciutto and buried under strong pecorino romano just killed it. We returned that course unfinished.
The chef visited one table multiple times, they must have been acquaintances, and ignored every other table, except a token visit to one other. The staff, while professional were very robotic.
TLDR: At this price point one expects a story or an enthusiasm about their location and/or their products. We got neither.

This was the only restaurant we visited in Bologna, and we tried their tasting menu featuring local specialties. The appetizers(especially the parmigiano crisp)were excellent, and both the tortellini and Tagliatelle al Ragù perfectly suited our taste.
However, the Cotoletta alla Bolognese was not as easy for us to appreciate. Since it was our first time trying Bologna-style cotoletta, we had no point of comparison. In our culinary culture, when meat is fried, even if it’s served with or lightly soaked in sauce, the breading should still retain some crispiness.
As for dessert, the panna cotta 🍮 (didn’t take a picture) had a slight refrigerator taste on the surface, which became noticeable when it touched the tongue. Perhaps the container didn’t fully protect it from absorbing fridge odors.
Overall, though, we found it to be a very pleasant dining experience and a nice place to get a quick understanding of Bologna’s local cuisine.

Everything was simply perfect: the food was delicious, the wine recommendations were honest, the service was prompt and friendly, the design concept was understated and warm, the table lamps were ideal for dinner, and the toolbox was uplifting.
The meticulously timed process might seem a bit self-conscious.
But overall, it's definitely recommended.

Puse una solicitud de reserva en caso de cancelación. Tengo una mesa. Tuve una gran experiencia. Tal vez el precio era un poco más alto de lo que esperaría para el menú degustación. El tortellini con crema di parmigiano fue quizás el mejor plato de pasta que he probado. ¡Como traerme aquí por un kilo de eso! Gran servicio. Cené solo, mezclándome en un poco de otras partes de Italia que no he visitado después de conocer a la familia en Roma durante un largo fin de semana. Manejaron la cena en solitario perfectamente. No me importa en absoluto, pero el servicio rápido es bueno, y comprobaron para reducir la velocidad, lo cual fue apreciado. Este lugar es muy bueno. No estoy seguro de por qué hay tantas críticas mediocres o malas!
