Cool space, solid cocktails, friendly service, very good food, decent wines paired with the food. It was cool that my wife and I were able to do two different tasting menus and maximize the number of dishes we were able to taste. The tortellini in cream was borderline life-changing. Everything else was good but maybe not quite as exciting or interesting as I had hoped.

Perfect evening, intimate but vibrant atmosphere, staff present but always discreet and attentive, kind and professional barman also in the room with surprising cocktails. High level culinary experience with truly surprising traditional dishes. Highly recommended. Michele Giordano

Unbalanced price-quality. Some dishes are decidedly too basic (vegetarian menu) for the price of the package. Other dishes ok, nothing to go crazy about. Very good drinks. We are far from the peaks of a few years ago when the name was deserved. An unfortunately negative final point is that we were fed like fattened geese: 50 minutes had passed since we sat down at the end of the service, not even enough time to breathe. It pains me a lot to write this review but I hope it helps to correct the situation.

After seeing this restaurant on the Michelin website as a recommendation, I wanted to go there and try it. We tried the heritage menu, the first two courses were nice. The third course was not for us. The sauce was overpowering and couldn’t taste anything else in the dish. The fourth dish was ragu pasta. It was fine. The fourth was just not good. The meat was soggy and very greasy. The pre dessert was a simple scope of ice. The flavour was nice but there were a lot of ice particles in there. The dessert was fine. Overall nothing special with some of the food not being good. I guess because of the Michelin recommendation and the price my expectations were not met. My mom started to feel sick halfway during the dinner so she couldn’t eat anymore, while I finished the menu. They did give us a small discount for my mom, which was very attentive and customer friendly. The cocktails were great!

The food at the restaurant is good, but it doesn’t deliver the level of innovation or uniqueness expected at this price point. While the dishes are well-executed, some are comparable to what one might find at a quality Trattoria, but at a significantly lower cost. We tried two different tasting menus (one each) with wine, and the total exceeded €200. Unfortunately, based on our experience, the value for money wasn’t there. That said, we believe in the potential of this restaurant and hope it continues to evolve and reach new heights. With refinement and creativity, it could truly justify its aspirations and price level. Best wishes for continued growth and success. Chefs in Bologna have a tricky problem: with thousands of visitors coming every year to sample the classics, how do you innovate without reverting to tortellini in broth and all the other staples? The team at Oltre did a wonderful job. Standouts were the gua bao bun with a mortadella mousse, spaghetti with shrimp, agretti, and bok choy, and deer with beets. Good combinations of texture, taste, bitter/acid, etc. Desserts were also very good. My only tiny nit was the taco with ragu where the taco tortilla had not been rolled thinly enough and consequently was not cooked all the way through, but that is easy to fix. Service was friendly, multi-lingual and the ambience was great - good for a romantic date or a dinner with friends. Highly recommended. Visit: April 2024

El restaurante nos parecio de lo mas cool. Decoracion sin estridencias pero con detalles muy chulos. Es espacioso y muy acogedor. Todos los platos nos encantaron, pero la pasta estaba exquisita. Situado junto al Mercato delle Erbe, es un sitio muy recomendable. Buen servicio y precio medio / alto. Recomendable

Dopo 5 anni dall’ultima volta, sono tornato finalmente a mangiare in questo ristorante. Personale sempre molto molto professionale, cordiale e disponibile in tutti i momenti, posto particolare esternamente ma molto curato e bello interamente, forse le luci sono un po’ troppo basse, qualità del cibo era proprio come me la ricordavo: molto molto buona. Abbiamo preso: -Tagliatelle al ragù, ragù davvero eccellente, buono davvero, il mio piatto preferito -tortellini in crema di parmigiano -cotoletta alla bolognese -simil filetto alla wellington con friggione Di dolci abbiamo preso due stecchi gelato, uno che ricordava la zuppa inglese e l’altro che ricordava lo snicker, particolari Peccato che nonostante il menù cambi volta per volta, lo stinco con cavolo cappuccio, che è stata una cosa che mi è rimasta impressa 5 anni fa, non sia più nel menu. Era davvero qualcosa di strabiliante e spero un giorno di tornare a mangiarlo
