I've been frequenting this restaurant in the historic center of Oratino for years, and I'm always delighted. The food is excellent, well-prepared, and the menus are always well-balanced and seasonal. Traditional Molise dishes are presented with subtle twists, without the excesses of other restaurants chasing current trends. The service is impeccable. The setting is perfect for any type of dinner, from casual dining to a celebratory event.

Beautiful, historic restaurant. All crafted from carved stone. It's divided into several rooms on multiple levels and has a fantastic wine cellar. The menu is very varied. We ate several very distinctive first courses. The fried cod is a must, and the cod stewed in olive oil is exquisite. The owner and staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Finally, something that's too important for my tastes, so much so that I would have given it 6 stars if it were possible: the service between courses is incredibly fast. You don't have to wait. The table arrangements are meticulous, and the food is delivered very quickly. I think reservations are mandatory because it gets very busy.

07/06/2026: We went for dinner while in Campobasso for Corpus Domini. The atmosphere amd food were incredible! It is an excellent way to experience different foods that are native to Campobasso.
12/05/2026: A wonderful gastronomic experience, I'd say the best I've had in Campobasso (so far). We tried a bit of everything, from the potato and truffle tartufotto to the sweetbreads with celeriac and lemon (I thought it was excellent!!!), and the caciocavallo soufflé with caramelized onions. Then someone had a first course, the inevitable tagliolini with truffle, and I... satisfied my urge to try the torcinelli and pepper balls... truly excellent, I'd never tried them... all while drinking a good Molise wine, Macchiarossa, and a Tintillia di San Felice. And then, to finish, an excellent selection of dry biscuits and coffee! The place is very unique, on several floors with stairs and steps; I wouldn't want to be the poor waiters!!! The price is fair, perhaps a little more expensive than the average in Molise, but that's okay.
