Old Wild West In Viareggio

We had a wonderful time at Old Wild West. We’ve been travelling Italy and we’re in need of good ole home cooking, like my grandma made. We were extremely impressed with the service and the incredible atmosphere. Felt like home. We recommend to anyone wanting to try a taste of freedom. 100/10

Feels like an American restaurant however the taste is not great and it is difficult to order if you aren’t Italian.

The ambience is breathtaking. Unfortunately, the service during our visit left a lot to be desired. We were a large group. First everyone was served, although there were only a few people there. Then at some point someone came to us. From then on things went relatively quickly. The children were even given something to paint with, which of course made them very happy. Unfortunately we forgot again in between and we couldn't order drinks again. Overall we were happy with the food.

How you imagine an Old Wild West restaurant to be. Rustic furnishings in Wild West style. There are enough parking spaces in front of it. Five of us were there late on a Friday afternoon around 7:30 p.m. and got a table without a reservation. But it quickly became full after 8 p.m. Reservations on weekend evenings probably make sense. The wings and burgers were very good. The mixed grill plate for 2 people (35 euros) was also okay. One point deducted because they didn't manage to get all the food we ordered together. However, the waiter had already announced that this could happen (but it doesn't actually make it any better :-)). Prices are okay. Waiter spoke good English. The Cola comes, appropriately, in half-liter glasses. A service fee of 1.80 euros per person will automatically be charged. I'm guessing it's probably the usual cutlery fee (Coperto) in Italy. Conclusion: I can recommend the restaurant.

We had an excellent experience in Old Wild West in Viareggio. Food was delicious and portions are large, and waiting time is short (less than 10mins) Very nice, pleasant and helpful stuff. Overall, we are highly recommend Old Wild West to everyone. I don't know why is so many negative reviews, because place and very nice!

Top food, good, friendly and fast service. English is not an issue among the staff, which is not a given in this part of Italy. We are very satisfied and more than full. We were already here in 2022 with the same good result.

Update July 2024: very long waiting times, wrong orders, burnt burgers and they made us pay for extra water. Blacklisted. Average - good food, happy children, it's not the usual McDonald's
