Sidewalk bistro that is a great deal for those who want to sit and enjoy the city. I have had a variety of their menu in the past 2 weeks. Very close to my rental apartment for early morning coffee.

Came for an aperitivo before dinner. Place was crowded but we managed a table outside. Aperol Spritz and Hugo Spritz were good; they brought some snacks but it didn’t convince.

It was my first time in Lucca, and this restaurant is magnificent. The food is a 10/10, but the best was the waiter service, especially the young man who agreed to speak Italian to me. I hope everything goes well. It's a pleasure to be served by such kind people. I definitely recommend the bar.

Had coffee, great service, and for two drinks, we didn't have any service/table charges. The toilet was Italian-style, so it could have been cleaner ;).

Our son's exact words: "That was the worst salami pizza I've ever eaten." The chicken salad was okay, but the meat was battered and pressed. The side bread had the same consistency as the croutons in the salad. The staff was very friendly and polite. Otherwise, I'd recommend it as a bar.

Bar Al Viale

31/10/2025: I went there a few days ago with my husband for the first time, and we were very pleased. It's a lovely place, the staff are friendly and polite, and the food is delicious. The daily menu is just €13, and it's truly excellent. The mixed menu was €27 per person, including coffee. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it.
30/10/2025: Bar-restaurant for a business lunch with excellent value. The focaccia and pizza are excellent!
