We had such a fun night at Ohima in Positano! We were celebrating two birthdays, and our server Seif made the experience amazing — so friendly, funny, and really went out of his way to make it special. The drinks were great and the vibe was incredible.

This was my first meal in Positano, and it was the best I've had at any restaurant in Italy. I had amberjack tartare, grilled cod, and pizza, but the steak was truly exceptional. I don't usually leave reviews, but everything from the sauce to the tenderness of the meat was superb. I ate every last drop of it and even gave the waiter a chef's kiss (I paid for it myself).
The balsamic vinegar was so delicious, I even bought some.
The atmosphere was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly.

This place was a highlight of our time in Positano. The food the atmosphere and especially the adorable attentive, friendly, fun, kind servers! Our favorite was SEIV. Sorry if I spelled it wrong.
I’ve had spaghetti meatballs all over italy and this one was hands-down, my favorite. We hope to have another meal there before we leave because it was such a GEM!!!❤️

Two things you must know, lest you expect more—or less—than this review can deliver:
1. I’ve never written a restaurant review.
2. I am a writer. (Apologies in advance)
Since I’m nothing if not audience-focused, dear review-seeker, I presume you’re after facts and photos? I warn you I have neither—but I do recommend Ohimà with all my weary tourist’s little heart.
• Food: 7/5 courses. Get the daily special—it was a squid/pasta duet when I went, and hopefully will be again when you do. (Also: get second dessert and a nightcap snack)
• Atmosphere: 10/10 quaint patios.
• Drink: Wine. All of it. 5/4 glasses. We especially enjoyed the Amarone and Falanghina (yes, those are the ones I can remember, thanks for asking).
• Service: 80% the reason I’m writing this—ask for Alessio.
Once upon an Amalfi twilight, my fellow far-flung New Englander and I rolled down Via Cristoforo Columbo in Positano with less direction than a pinball machine on a lazy susan.
Gravity mostly, aided by travel fatigue, delivered us onto the steps of Ohimà’s patio. It’s a charming outdoor addendum to the main restaurant, perched at the fork in the road where one can either head down toward Spiaggia Grande or climb back uphill again if one is sufficiently courageous.
The summary is simple: we unintentionally pestered our long-suffering server, and he was a model host through the ordeal we helplessly wrought.
I may have said it was twilight. In truth, I was only saying that for dramatic emphasis. It was not yet 4 p.m. and the patio wasn’t even open when our soon-to-be best friend Alessio seated us—two disoriented, disheveled gals radiating the kind of ambient, mild helplessness tourists carry with them as surely as they carry hand sanitizer and sunscreen.
We were swiftly fortified with glasses of wine and an array of obligate table carbs that I can only describe—with the highest compliments intended—as ADHD. (In all seriousness I’d go there just for this assortment given the option!) I proceeded to test Alessio’s patience by attempting to order in my best (nonexistent) Italian. Rather than abandon us, he met the moment with expertly-tuned sarcasm, which only made his menu guidance more trustworthy. My friend wisely followed his advice. I went rogue for one of my courses. The dish was still phenomenal, but I suffered menu envy. Alessio never said, “I told you so,” opting instead for hours of finely-crafted jokes at my expense.
Hours—and many plates, glasses, and bursts of laughter—later, we departed without realizing we’d just had one of the most memorable meals of our entire two-week trip.
Looking back, it’s clear that between my lack of Italian and my stubborn determination to use it anyway, Alessio revealed not just talent and professionalism but also a unique mind-reading ability tuned precisely to hunger.
So: go to Ohimà. Bring your dreams and your appetite. Put them in the team’s capable hands, and leave with your own stories and maybe a restored faith in simple human connection.

Buena cena. Situado en el centro, decidimos quedarnos en la terraza. Muy acogedor, si ignoras las motos y el ruido del tráfico. Probablemente mejor por dentro.
Excelente sopa de pescado, y el risotto con maracuyá estaba súper sabroso.
