OGGI - Officina Gelato Gusto Italiano In Bologna

I often eat ice cream when I'm on vacation, but this one was so extremely good that it's a contender for the top 3 ice creams of my life. A very authentic gelateria in that the ice cream is made on site and the individual ice cream compartments are covered. Every flavor of ice cream we tried (first 4) then another 2 tasted absolutely brilliant. I don't often write reviews but this ice cream made me want to :) Thanks

Probably the best pistachio gelato I had so far! Highly recommend.

First of all i have to mention the super nice and friendly worker. Forgot her name but she was from Florence and i believe she had slightly ginger hair(?). SSSuper nice and kind. Gelato is top tier. We went next day and sadly didn’t catch her:( there was a gray haired older man who was a bit grumpy but still! Amazing gelato and we will come back! Made our stay soo much more refreshing 😇.

This ice cream is absolutely delicious. The service isn't very friendly, but that could be a language issue. Been twice already, the mint & basil has become my new favourite flavour. Well worth a visit.

Very authentic Gelato. The flavors are posted on the wall. There are no descriptions in English but the staff was able to communicate in English. There are a few tables in the breezeway outside the store

OGGI a Bologna è una gelateria che gode di grande popolarità, come testimoniato dalla lunga fila che abbiamo dovuto affrontare per assaggiare il suo gelato. La fama del posto ci ha incuriositi e le aspettative erano alte, ma purtroppo non sono state completamente soddisfatte. Abbiamo deciso di provare la granita alla fragola, decantata come una vera specialità siciliana. Purtroppo, la nostra esperienza non è stata delle migliori. La granita era troppo densa e cremosa, più simile a un frappè che alla vera granita siciliana che ci aspettavamo. Il gusto era comunque gradevole, ma la consistenza era un po' deludente. Discorso diverso per il gelato, che invece ci ha convinti. Abbiamo trovato una buona scelta di gusti, sia classici che più particolari, e la qualità del gelato era buona. La consistenza era cremosa al punto giusto e il sapore era intenso e ben definito. Nel complesso, la nostra esperienza è stata discreta. Il gelato è sicuramente da provare. La granita, invece, a nostro parere, potrebbe essere migliorata per avvicinarsi di più alla ricetta originale siciliana. Se amate i gelati artigianali, vale la pena fare una sosta qui, ma ci penserei un attimo per la granita se cercate il gusto autentico siciliano.

Superb gelato with an excellent range of flavour choices! We were taken here as the final stop on a food tour of Bologna. We all loved our choices; mine were the apple and cinnamon sorbet and the pulcinella (ricotta, orange and chocolate). Simply gorgeous!
