Occomè In Firenze

A small restaurant (reservations recommended) opposite the Sant'Ambrogio Market. The signature dish is half a potato (a substantial size) with a wide selection of ingredients and toppings added on top. Excellent for a light and unusual meal.

We went to eat at Occomè last night, and luckily we managed to find a seat; we didn't expect the place to be so small, but it was very, very welcoming. The owner offers his customers an amazing welcome; he's fun and super friendly, treating everyone with the utmost kindness. We were amazed by the quality of the ingredients and the speed of the service. We started with a house appetizer and then continued with two potatoes (one with Cinta Senese pancetta and gorgonzola and one with bacon and gorgonzola). Needless to say, they were amazing. Not content, we split another potato (the one with peposo): an incredible journey of flavor. I highly recommend this place, both for the cheerful atmosphere, the welcome we received, and above all, the flavor. My only regret? We only went on the last day before leaving.

The only potato you can taste in Florence. Special mention for the pine nut cheesecake, right? Absolutely worth a try!

We went last night with a group of friends and discovered this little restaurant where you can get truly excellent Italian-style baked stuffed potatoes, with a wide variety of fillings to choose from! The covaccini and desserts are also delicious. The owner is friendly and approachable; we're a fairly easygoing group, and we really appreciated his warmth and helpfulness... we'll definitely be back!

The restaurant is located in front of Piazza Sant'Ambrogio. The menu offers new and tasty dishes, starting with a large boiled potato made with simple yet sophisticated ingredients. Everything is delicious! The staff is very friendly. It's worth a try.

We went on Friday evening for a birthday. The place is very small, but we were able to accommodate it without any problems. It was very noisy inside, and since it was 10:30 PM, they ran out of Aperol and Prosecco for Spritz. Overall, the service was a bit chaotic. We were charged for extra desserts. Spending more than €30 per person was acceptable, but a bit high for stuffed potatoes. They also cater to gluten-free options, and they even make homemade tiramisu for celiacs. Compared to the same venue in Turin, the price is higher, I imagine, due to its location.

Well, the place is very small and very well-branded inside. A friend recommended it, so we went to try it and were amazed by the potatoes. The ingredients they use are very high-quality, both for the meat and the various cheeses. The potatoes they use are cooked to perfection and so flavorful that, combined with the sauce, they taste like cream. The place is very basic, but for an alternative dinner, it's definitely worth a try. The prices are very fair, and I can only give it 5 stars. The only thing that perhaps didn't convince me (personally) is the choice to make "American"-style potatoes with cheddar, bacon, and the like. I think they should stick with classic Tuscan and Italian flavors, reduce the menu, and keep the "foodporn" flavors to a minimum. (Personal opinion) ❤️

I discovered this place through an Instagram video, it piqued my curiosity, I went in the evening and I have to say everything was very interesting, so many types of stuffed potatoes, all very good in fact I didn't know which one to get... I will definitely be back to try more potatoes. Truly exceptional desserts, the owner very kind and professional. I also like the place because it's not the usual place full of foreigners and Americans, but fortunately it is frequented mainly by Italians and Tuscans.
