07/12/2025: Amazing food. Totally mind blowing experience on what was for me, a very special occasion. Each dish was easily some of the best food I have ever eaten. The textures, flavors, and presentation were all quite immaculate, served by prompt, polite, but not pushy waiters.
This was something that I initially felt a little nervous about because I very rarely eat at fine dining establishments. I was a little worried we would not be welcome or that I would feel out of place, but the waiters helped us understand exactly what we were eating, how to eat it, and generally made the experience amazing. The ambiance was also quite perfect. Very dimly lit but with lights shining directly into the table to highlight the food we were eating and create a little bubble around the moment. It all felt quite like a dream.
I only have two complaints.
First, and this is quite minor, is that with the caviar dish the two of us were served an odd number of pieces of bread, which made it somewhat awkward as one of us would have to eat one more/less. Not a huge deal but something I think could be noted by a restaurant of this caliber.
Similarly, and more importantly was the glass cheesecake dish. I dined here in December and while the dish was excellently crafted, I wondered why we were seeing berries (now more than two months out of season) on the dessert. I can’t blame the restaurant for the berries being fairly wilted and flavorless, but I can certainly wonder why we were not seeing more seasonal flavors incorporated into our dish. We are in the heart of citrus season in a citrus region, after all! This was actually very surprising to me and definitely lowered my respect just a little bit for the establishment. However, the dish was still obviously very skillfully made and yummy nonetheless. I can’t give the experience anything other than five stars. Bravo.
03/12/2025: Chef Bowerman spent some time speaking with us and was fantastic. The food was excellent and a great value considering the type of experience you receive. Thanks again for allowing us to celebrate at your wonderful restaurant Chef.
