Everything was perfect. Below are some of the selected dishes. Very friendly staff. It feels like you're stepping back in time to the lunches you'd have at your grandparents' house. ❤️ Highly recommended. Excellent food and very reasonable prices. We had two side dishes, a first course, a second course, half a liter of wine, water, and coffee, spending a total of €47. Top notch.

an absolut blast! whatta hidden gem of southern italy, authentic vintage classroom sitting thats shared with others if you are only a couple… the menu is all good, fresh! nothing has displeased us so far (in 2 or 3x already and ready for more)… easy on digestion and delicious. Also, the atmosphere and expense feel uplifting! An overall approval, on repeat :)

Giggino è una persona straordinaria!Ti accoglie col sorriso e non ti fa pesare l'attesa per il piacere di gustare le specialità della sua cucina,semplici e raffinate allo stesso tempo,rigorosamente secondo i dettami della dieta mediterranea e della tradizione battipagliese.Il personale è gentile ed accurato nel servizio. Nel nostro viaggio da Napoli per tornare a casa in Sicilia ci siamo imbattuti in questa piacevolissima sorpresa. Cercando su TripAdvisor ristoranti a Battipaglia abbiamo trovato questo al primo posto, leggendo le superlative recensioni abbiamo deciso di provare. Che dire, stupendo, come fare un tuffo nel passato a casa della nonna 😍, arredamento stile casa della nonna che ricrea quelle emozioni di quando eravamo bambini. Il cibo buonissimo, noi abbiamo preso un antipasto con mozzarella e crudo, la polpetta di pane, le polpette in sugo e una fetta di vitello arrosto. Per dolce un tiramisù ( buonissimo) e poi il caffè è arrivato direttamente al tavolo con la moka e 2 tazzine in vetro marroncino trasparente come quello che anche mia nonna usava. No va beh locale straconsigliato. Vi prego se andata a Battipaglia per comprare le mozzarelle andate a pranzo da loro, non ve ne pentirete!!!! Un saluto dalla Siciliana e dal calabrese 🥳

22/11/2025: We found this little jewel on 11/21/25 while exploring the Amalfi coast. A delightful little restaurant with personal attention, all sorts of great fish and the specialty of the area, anchovies done in several different ways. We all loved the food and the experience. Seek it out. Parking is difficult but well worth it.
15/11/2025: My first time in Cetara, I wandered around and while I was trying to figure out whether I could rely on the restaurant for lunch or opt for a grocery store given my dietary issues, I met Nadia. She listened to me and then did something unexpected and something I'd never seen before: she took me by the arm and led me into the kitchen. I explained my allergies and concerns. The kitchen was spotless, and the cook gave me all the reassurance I needed (the last time I trusted her, I ended up in the hospital). I ate lunch with all the peace of mind I have at home. Nadia pampered us, and I was able to celebrate my birthday without any worries. 😍 And I'll add that both the wine and the oil are absolutely exceptional and straight from Cilento, "the land of the Mediterranean diet." I recommend choosing it, especially since it all makes up for the expense. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

21/11/2025: Great pizza! Excellent place to get pizza and a beer. Best pizza I've had in Italy so far. Friendly people. Would go back again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!
20/11/2025: Our visit to Saporito in Salerno left an overall positive impression thanks to the quality of the food and the efficiency of the staff. ​Pizza and Service 👍 ​Pizza: Although the dough deviates slightly from the strictest Neapolitan tradition, the pizza is definitely good and tasty. ​Service: The staff was quick and very friendly. ​Prices: Prices are average, offering a good balance between quality and price. ​The Outside Experience ⚠️ ​The biggest criticism is the outdoor atmosphere. If you choose to eat outside, be prepared to be a bit cramped. Unfortunately, the table layout is haphazard, and we found ourselves constantly being bumped into by people passing by due to the limited space. This detracted from the overall comfort of the dinner. ​In Summary ​Saporito offers excellent pizza and efficient service. The only downside is the outside experience, which is uncomfortable and stressful due to the limited space. ​Recommended, but perhaps a table inside is better if available.
