Very welcoming location, very kind staff, excellent food, I really enjoyed myself. Their grilled meat was delicious, I've never tasted anything like it, and the pasta was also delicious. We ordered a mixed grill and were really satisfied. Friendly and friendly staff, they made us feel very comfortable. The place was also very clean. 🥰🥰🥰

We went to eat yesterday, Fabio welcomed us like gentlemen, and made us order... a superlative menu, so much so that I really didn't know what to start with. We ordered grilled meat, kebabs, pasta and wine…. We ate and I could only think of five things: Incredible, everything exquisite, superlative, done to perfection. Not to mention the prices, which are amazing... If you lived here, you could have lunch, dinner, breakfast, aperitif and snack... Toppppppppp🚂🚂

Nice and very large restaurant. We ate a grilled Florentine for two... really excellent and very tender with a side dish of very good baked potatoes accompanied by a really good house red wine recommended by the restaurateur. Highly recommended place!!!

We went for lunch in a welcoming place with very kind staff, we had the pizza and I must say it was very, very good, the meat was very good, the service was excellent and the prices were affordable, an experience absolutely worth repeating… I come from Naples so highly recommended for pizza

It's the first time I stopped by 'O Sfizio' and I was very happy. The environment recalls the place where it is located. It gives the idea of ​​a warm and welcoming mountain house with a lit fireplace. The meat is cooked on wood embers (not charcoal), is of excellent quality and is shown to you at the table before cooking. The staff, starting from the owner, is very kind and the prices are honest. Very particular and appreciated by wine lovers: In addition to a very vast collection of wines, the restaurant offers many wines, not only local ones. There is no wine list. They are displayed in a cabinet in the center of the room and each bottle has the price applied. I'll be back for sure. Thanks 🙏

Senza prenotazione, pranzo nell'ultima domenica di dicembre. Parcheggio ampio di fronte al locale con lavori in corso. Locale facile da trovare con il navigatore. Nessuna barriera architettonica. Arriviamo presto e ci fa sedere una persona che parla poco l'italiano. Poi viene il proprietario (o gestore, non so) che si esprime in maniera ancora meno intellegibile. Sala assai vintage, menu vintaggissimo. Ma servizio veloce e cortese, impiattamento tanto spartano quanto buone sono le pietanze, prezzi medio-bassi per la zona. Pasta e fagioli e arrosticini consigliatissimi.

Qualche giorno fa abbiamo voluto fare una gita fuori porta a Roccaraso. Paesaggio innevato da favola. E naturalmente a mangiare siamo andati al ristorante 'O sfizio'. C'eravamo già stati questa estate e devo dire che anche in inverno la location è davvero stupenda. Cibo sempre buonissimo. Abbiamo preso un antipasto e la carne alla brace, la loro specialità. Il sapore e la qualità sempre impeccabili. È un posto che consiglio vivamente a tutti: per una giornata in famiglia, per chi cerca un pranzo all’insegna della buona carne o per chi semplicemente vuole godersi la natura in un ambiente rilassante e accessibile. Torneremo sicuramente! Edita correggi migliora

08/12/2024: Location meravigliosa, il casale è caldo ed accogliente, il personale cordiale ed educato. Ci siamo imbattuti in questo ristorante io e mia moglie e abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Antipasto classico dei luoghi con affettati misti e formaggi, e 2 primi davvero raffinati e genuini. Ravioli ripieni di formaggio e noci con crema di fiori di zucca e zafferano, e risotto con crema di cime di rapa e formaggio. Consiglio vivamente di prenotare per non rischiare di non trovare posto. Ci ritorneremo.
25/08/2024: Abbiamo pranzato in questo bel ristorante un pò fuori Sulmona. Servizio non velocissimo, qualità del cibo molto buona, unica nota negativa l'agnello andava cotto con più tempo, alcuni pezzi troppo cotti esternamente all'interno erano praticamente crudi. Prezzo ok.

Il gallo di Pietra

09/02/2025: We went to Il Gallo di Pietra in Pescocostanzo at the invitation of friends, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The restaurant has an extremely romantic atmosphere, with soft lights and a setting that always recalls a bit of the Christmas atmosphere. The restaurant, in a historic building, retains all its charm. Initially I was a bit perplexed about the appetizers, since the proposal is mainly based on platters, which this time we skipped. We instead opted for the first and second courses off the menu, following the staff's advice. The ravioli filled with ricotta and covered with truffles were really excellent, as was the braised meat in wine, accompanied by local side dishes such as bitter and slightly spicy chicory. The wine selection is extensive and the desserts delicious - the meringues and apple strudel were both exceptional. A special applause for the courtesy of the staff, in particular for Vittorio, very nice and very attentive. In conclusion, a place where we will definitely return. The price is in line with the quality and average of the area, therefore absolutely recommended!
09/02/2025: Very cute and cozy restaurant in Pescocostanzo. Food was excellent. Service was perfect. Atmosphere was just what you would hope for in this quaint mountain town with small, intimate rooms and even a fireplace. Highly recommend.
