O Chianu In Monterosso almo

We had lunch at this place after an intensive morning spent hiking in the nearby woods on a winter day. We couldn’t have made a better choice! The food was excellent (a full Italian Sunday lunch with three courses and dessert), and the service was spotless, all at a very affordable price. We will definitely be back to try the menu with local mushrooms.

We ate well and didn't pay much. The plates were all returned empty to the kitchen.

I've been to O Chianu, right in Piazza San Giovanni, and it was a pleasant experience: the place is informal, with outdoor tables that create a decidedly welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a carefree evening. I tried the pizza and scacciuni (a typical Ragusa specialty) and I must say that the dough is among the best, crispy and light, with authentic ingredients and lots of flavor.
