We ate so well that we went back the next day too.
Among the first courses, both the carbonara and the gricia are excellent, both cooked to perfection.
Among the second courses, the cod and the saltimbocca left me really satisfied.
A discovery were the Giudia artichokes, very tasty.
The place is quiet, well looked after and welcoming. The value for money is also excellent. Finally, I found a lot of courtesy and helpfulness.

Osteria Nuvolari – A corner of authentic Rome in the heart of the Borgo
During my last visit to Rome, I had the pleasure of dining at Osteria Nuvolari, a little gem hidden in the narrow streets near the Vatican. From the first moment, the welcoming atmosphere and the warmth of the staff made me feel at home.
I started with a mixed starter, which included excellent quality cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by a truly exceptional crostini with truffle cream. For the first course, I couldn't help but try the carbonara, and I have to say that it was one of the best I've ever eaten: creamy at the right point, with crunchy bacon and a perfect sprinkling of pecorino. As a second course, I chose the baked lamb, tender and tasty, with a side of crispy and well-seasoned potatoes.
Everything was accompanied by a house red wine which perfectly enhanced the flavors of the dishes. To conclude, the homemade tiramisu could not be missing, creamy and delicate, perfect to end the dinner in style.
The service was impeccable: attentive but never intrusive, with useful advice on dishes and wines. The value for money was also a pleasant surprise, considering the central location and the quality of the ingredients.
If you are in Rome and want to try real Roman cuisine in an authentic, no-frills environment, Osteria Nuvolari is the right place. I will definitely be back!

Dishes prepared with care but the guanciale of the carbonara was too dry and the coda alla vaccinara "anonymous" for our taste. Special mention for the service that was attentive, thoughtful and punctual in every aspect

Siamo stati all’osteria con sconto the fork. Ambiente molto carino e piacevole, servizio accurato e sorridente. Ottimi antipasti, carciofi alla Giudia, polenta e baccalà. Buona amatriciana, gricia e ravioli. Gustoso il manzo alla picchiapó, poco condite le puntarelle unico neo del pranzo.

Qualche giorno fa siamo stati a passeggio al centro di roma, vicino a p.zza Navona e cercavamo un posto dove cenare. La serata era piuttosto fredda. Conosciamo la gestione perché siamo stati più volte all'altro ristorante di Borgo Pio, dove siamo stati sempre bene.
Sulla serata in questione non possiamo dire nulla sul cibo. Tutto sempre buono.
Ma qualcosa c'è da dire sulla gestione del servizio:
1. Ci domandano se dentro o fuori. E preferiamo dentro perché faceva freddo.
2. Ci indicano un tavolo e poi ci fanno spostare non considerando altre prenotazioni.
3. Il posto che ci propongono è vicino alla porta che era aperta e si chiediamo al cameriere se poteva essere chiusa, ci risponde prima di si poi che non può perché deve entrare un cliente e ... Alla fine rimane aperta.... Ho dovuto mettere il cappotto... Alla fine del pasto arriva il proprietario che la fine chiude la porta.
4. Qualche ritardo sul vino e sul pane che praticamente sono arrivati a fine pasto.
Forse un ragazzo solo a gestire un posto così frequentato si domenica sera non è il caso.
