A wonderful experience at Novecentotredici. We stopped on our way to the Vatican and it was the perfect start to our day. The service was fantastic and so friendly. The lady at the cash register guided us through our conversations since we're learning Italian. The cappuccinos were simply divine, and the maritozzo (giant) was delicious, the cream light and just sweet enough. Small gluten-free pastries were also available. Less interesting, but having the option is always nice. For an authentic and relaxing experience, to take your time in the morning, this is a good place.

Coffee was fine, but the pistachio croissants were completely empty inside with just a tiny blob of cream on top. The service was a big no: not friendly, not helpful, not welcoming. And honestly, how can a waitress start clearing the table while someone is still sitting and finishing their coffee – even taking the cup away from under their nose? Very poor behavior.

In short, the pastries we tried weren't exceptional, the bathroom needs to be re-examined...

Breakfast at this super cozy place! Even though we'd already paid for breakfast at the hotel, they treated us like regulars! The breakfast was very good, and the owners were very kind and helpful!
