After a long day of hiking through Cinque Terre, we decided to try our luck in La Spezia – and stumbled upon the wonderful spot Nana Meats & Wine.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and could choose our own table. My wife and I ordered a glass of wine and were presented with two excellent options to pair with our meat choices. I went for the dry-aged cut, while my wife and son shared a perfectly cooked 500g tenderloin.
What really stood out was the attention to detail: when the wines arrived, we were first offered a tasting in separate glasses before receiving the full pour in a fresh one – only after our approval.
Before the meat was prepared, the cuts were brought to our table for us to see exactly what would be cooked – a great touch. I have to say, both dishes were full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and among the best meals I've had in a long time.
During dinner, the staff checked in to see if everything was to our liking, and the overall warmth and personal attention made this experience truly special.

If you're passing through La Spezia, this is where you have to eat.
At Nana, they meticulously preserve, prepare, and cook a formidable collection of meats unlike anything you've ever seen. There's something for every taste, from the most refined palates to the most genuine. But passion is the true secret ingredient, a passion that shines through in the food and in every corner of the restaurant. A close-knit and exquisitely professional team provides excellent and unparalleled service, guaranteeing a truly unique experience.
I tried the "Norcino" platter, a selection of cured meats and cold cuts produced by Nana, and the Wagyu Ca' Negra arrosticini. A concentration of authentic flavors that tell a story of dedication, mastery, and so much passion with every bite.
Then, the grilled marrow... what a treat!! It warms the heart and brings peace to the senses! No further comment needed.
To top it all off, a second serving of Irish Angus and Dolomitica. Meat, okay... wow... but what's so exciting is the impeccable, obsessive cooking, which gives the rib eye an incredible flavor, highlighting every single element, even the bone!
A special mention, among the side dishes, goes to the smoked mash with lemon zest, a risk for most but the icing on the cake for those who tasted it, a true masterpiece.
Thanks to Nana Meat & Wine, which made this already magical vacation in these beautiful lands unforgettable.

In my opinion, the quality was completely inconsistent with the price. Out of three steaks, only one met our expectations — the other two were overcooked and simply not tasty. The chicken was also bland, as was the burger.

I had such a great night with my family, eating steak and drinking wine! The staff were all super friendly and nice.
Nana Meat & Wine's Dry Aged Fillet steak and Sirloin were so juicy and tender. We got medium Dry age, and it was cooked perfectly.
The pulled Pork Burger wasn't bad either, lots of pork, though the bread was a little dry. Still good though.
The smoked mashed potatoes were delicious, and I also recommend the grilled vegetables as a side.
Definitely recommend this steakhouse with wine!

Sono stato un sabato a pranzo, dopo aver saputo dell’esistenza del ristorante tramite i social. Ristorare curato, servizio impeccabile, ma soprattutto carne fantastica!
