I happened to be in La Spezia by chance, it didn't even cross my mind that you were right there..... Walking around the center with my girlfriend, we were looking for something to eat, and I see NANA 😱😱 (the place where you make burgers)..... Oh God, I'm shocked, and where is NANA MEAT??? .... I look on Google Maps, I rush over, my girlfriend was looking at me thinking I was possessed, I see the windows, I go in, ask the waiter if it's possible to eat and at the same moment I see the MAESTRO at work..... I can't believe it.... It's him.... The super kind waiter takes us to the table.... I have to go and say hello to the MAESTRO..... We order two extraordinary appetizers, due to a small mistake they bring us the wrong appetizer (we didn't notice anything) they point it out to us and bring us the one we ordered, all three spectacular, because yes, they even left us the wrong one..... ALL 3 AMAZING.....
We move on to the strong stuff, beef fillet and diaphragm..... I felt like I was talking to angels.... Then, oh well, the side dishes were really spot on and the desserts were crazy..... I won't even mention the coffee, amazing.... I was finally able to talk to the MAESTRO and what am I supposed to do, I'm 25 too I've been working in the kitchen for years, and even longer as a pork butcher... But at NANA we felt pampered like at home...

Lunch with friends
We chose from the menu.
We had the platter as an appetizer.
The meat and the burger (all very good).
We had two steaks: an Angus and a Polish Friesian. Both were good, but the Angus was better, even though the Friesian was dry-aged.
The waitress wasn't very cheerful, but she was good at explaining. The price was fair for what we ate.
We had a great time.

We got tasting menu that were 4 delicious dishes plus 1 dessert. Their meat was no doubt high-quality. I would like to give 5 stars but because of the service I have to take out 1 star, honestly. We did not feel welcoming, tables for 2 are placed poorly along the corridor and my seat facing toward restaurant's staffs area/drink-prep area. The staffs did not do anything wrong or caused us problems, I must say, but to us seemed like they just memorized what they need to tell from the menu instead of introducing their interesting and thoughtful menu made by the chef. Great experience by the food here but we would not come back. I'd give 3.5/5 stars in the end.

La Spezia gets passed by as another port access to other nearby more popular cities of Italy but it has gems to discover. Nana Meat and Wine is one them. Situated nearby plaza and the La Spezia Centrale, it’s primed to be noticed. It has a beautiful patio outside but inside is very elegant and gives you that comfortable feeling of opulence. Tastefully decorated and everything has a touch of class on it, including the access to the washroom which neatly tucked behind, it doesn’t announce itself to be a washroom. And the food, whatever you order, you’ll be catered to by servers, who as busy as they are, don’t mind being asked to do a bit outside their comfort. Love the steak, whether, it’s Chianina or Fassona, you’ll be delighted. Try it when you’re in La Spezia, it’s a beautiful experience.

The servers are super friendly, the place is quite pleasant and intimate, and they have a wide wine selection. I tried a recommended cut, and it honestly left a lot to be desired. They weren't even interested in how you wanted it. The meat was chewy. I didn't like it at all compared to other places that offer better prices.
€50 for a 250g cut, a side dish, and a glass of wine.

My partner and I went, and each of us ordered a different cut: she ordered an extra beef steak, and I ordered a dry-aged beef steak. We had baked potatoes and tomatoes with it. My steak was actually very, very good, but my partner's had a very strong smell and taste. We didn't say anything because we didn't know if it was that cut. I recommend the place, but ask if you have any questions, unlike us. 🤦🏻

We tried the tasting menu, a delicacy with unique flavors, tender meat, and perfect cooking. The atmosphere is well-maintained and they take great care in keeping things clean. The staff is friendly and well-trained.
