Siamo abitudinari di questo ristorante e, per le occasioni, veniamo quasi sempre. Da un paio di anni la formula pranzo con degustazione ci è stata imposta e, nonostante molti di noi fossero astemi, l’abbiamo accettata pur di godere del buon cibo vario e abbondante dei loro menù fissi. Non abbiamo mai nemmeno chiesto cosa fosse previsto. Fiducia totale. Quest’anno, però, è cambiato qualcosa. Il numero di antipasti si è ridotto drasticamente, i primi erano degli assaggi (mentre fino allo scorso anno, arrivati ai primi eravamo pieni) tanto da doverli richiedere come bis e la grigliata non era completa per tutti e abbiamo dovuta chiederla. Il prezzo, dunque, non è più equilibrato. Troppo alto per ciò che si mangia, soprattutto per chi non beve e non può scegliere di non bere. Suggerisco di riportare il menù come prima (mi è mancata la trippa, la Ricotta calda e altre cose squisite che facevate) e magari far scegliere se fare la degustazione di vini o meno.

Very beautiful and relaxing location, immersed in the vineyards of the estate and framed by the sea on one side and Etna on the other... in short, a picture! Very good food from breakfast to dinner. Very kind and super helpful staff. We will return with great pleasure.

We went to this place because we saw that they had a cellar and a restaurant. The views are impressive and we chose a table which was arranged. We were told to order, but not at that table, and we had to wait about 10 minutes for one to be prepared for us. They started serving many plates, appetizers. We sat down and took it all in as a compliment from the establishment. We didn't read the menu, they just brought us a huge platter with some appetizers. We shared that we did not order them. Then they explained to us that they have a menu, you can't choose, but the whole thing goes. We refused, explaining that we only wanted pasta and nothing more, as there was no way we could eat - a huge platter with appetizers, several types of pasta and several main meat dishes. Two waitresses lined up to explain to us how it doesn't work like that and we have to agree to their terms. About five minutes later, the manager came and explained the same thing, but he already accepted that no one had explained to us how Sicilian restaurants work, and he also accepted our apology that we didn't know. Huge thanks to this guy, whose name I don't know, but he accepted us as guests of the establishment and we were able to have lunch there. The pasta they served was unique in taste, as was the wine from the Catania region. Thank you, dear man, for accommodating us as guests of the San Michele restaurant! In terms of setting and view - there is hardly anything more to be desired - blooming bougainvillea, fields with vineyards and the beautiful and azure sea! I am applauding some photos from the wine shop in this Tenuta.

Farmhouse with fixed menu, wide choice of buffet starters, two good first courses, a mixed grill with plentiful and discreet meat, a dessert. All inclusive of a couple of glasses of wine they produce and a coffee. At the price of 35 euros which seems fair to me. The service was kind and quick. The night view of the city and the sea was beautiful.

Visited as part of a tour group for a “ light” lunch . There were over 40 of us , the staff were very professional & organised. Lunch was lovely, antipasto, pasta with mixed salad & dessert……water & wine with each course . We had a short tour around the winery & a stop at the shop. Of course we had to buy a large bottle of the delicious olive oil that we tried with our lunch . We opened in in UK yesterday & paired it with Italian foods , still as delicious 😋😋😋 We were seated inside as there was a threat of thunderstorms, which appeared as we made our way back to our tour bus , I imagine looking at the photos on the website it would be idyllic to sit outside for food & wine . A venue to be recommended for sure
