Quiet atmosphere Friendly staff Well-attended Only flaw: for vegans or those with lactose intolerance, there are no cookies. It costs nothing. You make cookies everyone can eat...you're so kind. I'm giving it 5 stars, hoping to find them next time.

If you like beer served by knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff then Mosaik is well worth checking out. We enjoyed chatting with the team and working our way through some of the Sicilian and Italian beers on tap, a great local cheeseboard plus various bruschetta .

Always searching for ‘breweries near me’ for a good IPA, found a hazy one at Mosaik! Knowledgable staff, hoping craft beer gains more interest in Catania. In, bar and outside seating, good beer bar!

One of the best craft ale bars in Catania. We were lucky to visit during the Bon Dai tap takeover, when there was a great selection of beers available. We particularly enjoyed the amber, rauchbier, and porter (hand pulled). Staff are friendly and the quality is excellent. J

Good vibes, friendly welcome, good range of beers. The pulled beef sarnie was great, really tasty though the olive bruschetta was overly salty. Would definitely go again.

11/10/2025: I've been coming to Catania for work for five years, and Taverna del Grande Albero is a regular stop. First of all, I find quality and courtesy here, but above all, I feel like I'm at home. The owners have become like family to me. I GO TO FILIPPO'S, I say every time!!!! Always friendly, always hospitable, they never fail to chat with the customers, and I highly recommend it!! I've attached photos so you can fully understand my satisfaction. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the spectacular seafood appetizer!

22/02/2026: Stunning location overlooking the Etna forests. Mount Etna in the background adds an extra touch. The staff is kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Honorable mention for the quality of the food, especially the croquettes, the trofie with pistachio pesto, and the apple cake with orange oil. Highly recommended!
21/02/2026: Excellent restaurant! It perfectly represents the cuisine of eastern Sicily and Etna. Special mention for the charcuterie and cheese platter, with a wide variety of jams to pair with the cheeses. Excellent quality food. Excellent service, excellent chef.
