INCREDIBLE. We had the tasting menu, and to say it amazed us would be an understatement. New and intense flavors that highlighted the high-quality fish. The owner also conveys the passion and history behind each dish. Plus, the quality/price ratio is exceptional.

I found this place by chance online; I stopped in for lunch, intrigued by other positive reviews. The food quality is excellent; it's extremely rare to find restaurants serving fish caught in the Milan area, and even rarer to find someone who knows how to value it while respecting and honoring Japanese food culture, while also innovating the look and flavors of even traditional dishes. The place itself is very well-kept; perhaps the music was a little too loud for my taste, but I think it was set for when the place is busier (I was the only one there). The owner, Michele, is a wonderful person, very kind and available both to explain the dishes and their history, and to answer any questions I might have. He repeatedly told me that if I didn't like a dish, he'd offer something else, but I really appreciated the entire selection of dishes he offered. My overall impression is that of having lunch at a friend's house, and I believe that was precisely Mookuzai's intention. The price is completely in line with the portion size and food quality.

I've been going there for years and it's always fantastic. A Japanese experience unlike anything else in the Milanese market. Definitely worth a try. And if you invite someone over, you always make a great impression!

Impeccable venue and amazing food. We went for our anniversary and they treated us with kid gloves. Be wary of what others say. The owner is certainly a bit blunt; you might not like him, but you can tell he cares about his food and is very passionate about it.

I discovered this place one Saturday for lunch with my boyfriend. In a refined, elegant, and relaxing setting, the owner not only welcomed us with professionalism and warmth, but also immediately conveyed his evident experience and passion for Japanese cuisine. Given this background, it was impossible to be disappointed by the rich Sosaku tasting menu, characterized by experimentation and innovative flavor combinations: a wonderful journey where I finally tasted the unmistakable flavor of fresh, authentic, and wholesome fish, which I had long longed for. The highest quality, great respect for seasonality and all the ingredients chosen, a price in line with the offerings, and the feeling of having found a place respectful of Japanese culinary tradition completed the experience. Highly recommended, and congratulations again!

"Quality, service, creativity" are the key words that describe this place. It was a great experience, my only advice: come with an open mind and without preconceptions to fully appreciate it.
