MooKuzai In Milano

I discovered this place one Saturday for lunch with my boyfriend. In a refined, elegant, and relaxing setting, the owner not only welcomed us with professionalism and warmth, but also immediately conveyed his evident experience and passion for Japanese cuisine. Given this background, it was impossible to be disappointed by the rich Sosaku tasting menu, characterized by experimentation and innovative flavor combinations: a wonderful journey where I finally tasted the unmistakable flavor of fresh, authentic, and wholesome fish, which I had long longed for. The highest quality, great respect for seasonality and all the ingredients chosen, a price in line with the offerings, and the feeling of having found a place respectful of Japanese culinary tradition completed the experience. Highly recommended, and congratulations again!

"Quality, service, creativity" are the key words that describe this place. It was a great experience, my only advice: come with an open mind and without preconceptions to fully appreciate it.

Authentic Japan, with character In a world of all-you-can-eat sushi and passing fads, this restaurant is a real gem. Here you can breathe in the real Japan, the one made of authentic flavors, respect for raw materials and attention to detail. The menu is well-curated, never banal: each dish is prepared with technique, passion and a pinch of personality that makes the experience unique. And speaking of personality... it's impossible not to mention the owner: eccentric, direct, perhaps a little over the top - but incredibly passionate. His love for Japanese cuisine can be felt in every word and in every dish that comes out of the kitchen. It's one of those places where you don't just come to eat, but to live an experience. Recommended for those looking for authenticity, quality and who aren't afraid of meeting a restaurateur with a lot, a lot of character.

Dopo una bellissima giornata in giro per Milano, andiamo a cena in questo tipico ristorante giapponese e ne siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Il titolare persona carismatica e simpatica, praticamente abbiamo passato una serata insieme a lui a chiacchierare di cibo, vino e altro perché eravamo solo noi nel ristorante, esperienza molto piacevole. Michele ci ha spiegato la filosofia del locale e della cucina, l'essere il più vicino alla vera cucina giapponese, bypassando tutte le mode anche a costo di rinunciare a qualche cliente. Il menù degustazione che abbiamo provato è stato veramente ottimo, ci è piaciuto tutto, piatti abbondanti, saporiti e gustosi, il pesce è freschissimo, qualità altissima.

Quando si tratta di passare nei pressi di un luogo che amo, non esito mai, e così anche questa volta, quando mi sono trovata a soli 40 km di distanza, ho deciso di fare una piccola deviazione per raggiungere Mookuzai. In passato vi ho parlato del pesce freschissimo e dell'atmosfera accogliente di questo posto, ma oggi voglio concentrarmi su due nuove esperienze culinarie che ho vissuto grazie ai consigli di Michele. La prima novità è stata un tonno alalunga, conosciuto anche come tonno bianco, servito con miso fermentata, scalogno e purea di mele verdi aromatizzate al Wasabi. Il sapore era semplicemente eccezionale, ogni boccone era un'esplosione di freschezza e sapidità. La seconda scoperta è stata un tonno rosso, precisamente un Bluefin, accompagnato da miso rossa, una leggera nota di miele, mentuccia e cipollotto. Questo piatto era altrettanto sublime, con un perfetto equilibrio tra dolcezza e sapore umami. Un grande grazie a Michele, che si riconferma una sicurezza in fatto di suggerimenti gastronomici. Non vedo l'ora della prossima deviazione per scoprire quali altre delizie avrà in serbo per me!

Michele explains each dish with love and professionalism and recommends what best suits your tastes. The fish is always very fresh and top quality. Unique and very creative dishes. Michele is always innovating, he is like the David Muñoz of Japanese cuisine in Milan. The restaurant is spacious and the atmosphere is very pleasant. As always it is a pleasure to return!!!
