Monticino Serra In Castel bolognese

It was our first time. We immediately loved the ambiance and couldn't have imagined how enthralled we'd be with everything else. Our waiter, Nicolò, with his wonderful smile, was incredibly quick, attentive, kind, and so helpful. We delighted in a plate of hot and cold appetizers called "sinfonia": tasty, plentiful, and beautifully presented, we captured it in photos. The bread was replaced with an excellent pizza. We had the fried shrimp, calamari, and julienned vegetables, accompanied by a superb sweet and sour pepper reduction. Our guests also thoroughly enjoyed the sorbets and biscotti. Congratulations! We recommend it and plan to return.

We were very happy with the new management. We chose the fish dinner and were completely satisfied. The waiters were very friendly. Everywhere was clean and tidy. I recommend it.

The service was very professional and the food was magnificent... It's just a shame for the customers and the "regulars," some of whom were very rude, and the waiters had a patience worthy of Shaolin monks... There were constant, completely inappropriate complaints from some customers about slow service and pointless requests for "discounts" for desserts that arrived slightly late. Not true. Personally, we found ourselves arguing with some rude customers because we simply had to put our coats in the designated space with hangers, and we were "annoying" them. In my opinion, the waiters and all the staff are very competent, but they should be a little more selective and filter their customers... Complaining is fine, but let's leave the rudeness at home. Otherwise, there's always the fish market, or you can stay at home and fry fish in your slippers.

The fish is excellent. I really like the hot/cold appetizers, but I also found the grilled fish to be excellent. The nougat semifreddo dessert is fantastic. The service is perfect, with attentive and extremely friendly staff.

Good morning, I wanted to clarify that I don't understand my previous review of the restaurant. Also because I don't feel like I've made one. I've been here twice recently and had a great time; the seafood lunch was better than any I've had at a seafood restaurant. Compliments also to the staff, whom I found to be extremely friendly. Sorry for the previous review... highly recommended.

We ordered fish risotto and fried fish to go. Everything was really good and plentiful!! They even gave us two free flatbreads, which is a rare treat these days and much appreciated!! Congratulations and thank you for the excellent dinner! We'll definitely be back!! Sara and Luca
