I was on holiday with my husband for a week, I must say abundant breakfasts and a lot of choice from sweet to savory and for dinner excellent dishes, generous portions served by friendly staff. Highly recommended

Last night we had dinner at this restaurant. 4 adults and 2 children. As for the food, we ate very well apart from the bread and ciaccino which were stale.
As for the service, we were initially greeted with kindness, they took our order and the first course arrived almost immediately. Then they got lost... the second course arrived after 50 minutes, but it was delicious so we didn't give much thought. Afterwards they cleared the table and no one came to the table again to ask if we wanted a sweet or a coffee. After half an hour of waiting we made a sign to call the waitress who came to us and while we were saying what we wanted she turned towards the next table which still had the second course's plates to clear and said: "ah no sorry they are there first." Nothing against the guys next to us, but that's not nice, and it wasn't even true!
For dessert we ordered 6 sorbets by the glass and they brought us the packaged sorbet, good, but I pointed out that we had asked for the sorbets by the glass and the waiter said they were finished. To my observation that it would have been nice to know (since there was also chocolate present and someone could be allergic or not like it) the waiter replied that they brought what they had. What to say ...
Another wait for a coffee and then we finally get up to pay.

I particularly want to point out this restaurant, I am staying at the Pineta hotel, and I chose the half board option, right inside the Montecristo restaurant.
The staff is helpful, professional, friendly, they have the power to make you feel truly pampered.
The food is delicious, we tried many dishes on the menu, and it's all wonderful.
They are super fast and super efficient.
We will definitely be back.

More 4.5 stars than 4. The dishes are well prepared and above all well cooked. We enjoyed an excellent swordfish parmigiana, spaghetti with prawns, grilled meat, various appetizers and even fried food. All absolutely enjoyable at overall acceptable prices. Two sore points: we were "skipped" by table service and waited to order (the very efficient head waiter however quickly realized what had happened and remedied it effectively), when the bill came they forgot about the discount with the fork but they immediately remedied our complaints.
The wine list is a bit poor. Without setting up a wine shop, it should be quite painless to add a few bottles and expand the choice.
We will be back for sure.

Trovato per caso camminando alla ricerca di un locale per cenare, senza appuntamento ci hanno trovato subito un tavolo. Con sorpresa hanno accolto piacevolmente anche la nostra cagnolina alla quale hanno portato subito una ciotola con dell'acqua. Piatti molto buoni e ben serviti, rapido il servizio e piacevole il personale. Costi contenuti, ci torneremo.

Il voto tre complessivo viene fuori facendo la media aritmetica tra menu e servizio: 5 per il menu e 1 per il servizio.
Abbiamo ordinato quello che pensiamo sia il piatto forte del ristorante: il "risotto Montecristo" con l'astice (eccellente) e la parmigiana di pesce spada (altrettanto eccellente). Giudicherei invece il dolce (cheese cake al lampone) passabile, ma non all'altezza degli altri due.
La nota dolente riguarda il servizio, decisamente poco professionale e poco accogliente.
1) Prenotazione alle ore 21,00: al nostro arrivo siamo invitati a sederci ad un tavolo interno già apparecchiato, dicendo che fuori non c'è posto. Alla nostra richiesta di poter avere un tavolo, che era da sparecchiare, quanto meno vicino alla porta di accesso alla terrazza, ci viene risposto, in modo un po' scostante, che a quel punto tanto valeva sparecchiarne uno all'esterno, e così alla fine è stato fatto, senza troppi problemi.
2) La focaccia e il pane portati al tavolo erano raffermi, presumibilmente del giorno prima. Far scadere il giudizio per dettagli di così poco conto è sintomo di poca lungimiranza.
3) Prima di portarci il "risotto Montecristo", per l'astice ci sono stati forniti gli strumenti che servono per togliere la polpa dalle chele uno dei quali, lo scavino, era già usato, con residui di cibo.
Su nostra richiesta è stato sostituito, ma l'impressione che suscita una cosa del genere e' pessima.
4) Al momento di ordinare il secondo, erano circa le 22,00 ci è stato detto, di nuovo in maniera non troppo garbata, di affrettarsi ad ordinare perché la cucina stava per chiudere.
Delle due l'una: o non prendete prenotazioni per le 21,00 o dovete essere più veloci a portare al tavolo l'unico piatto che è stato ordinato fino ad allora, perché non avevamo preso né aperitivo, né antipasto, ma, entrambi, solo il risotto.
5) Sconsiglio di chiedere un singolo calice di vino: 6,00 euro per due dita scarse, oltretutto versato in cucina e portato in sala, anziché versato al tavolo dalla bottiglia.
Suggerisco, semmai, di ordinare la bottiglia intera.
6) Al momento del pagamento abbiamo chiesto se veniva accettata la carta American Express, e nonostante la conferma, alla fine non è stato possibile farlo. Niente di male, ma non mi sembra il caso di commentare, da parte di un'altra persona intervenuta appositamente dalla cucina, con una frase del tipo "viste le commissioni più alte nessuno la vuole e mi sembra giusto così". Ho usato più volte la Amex anche in pizzerie al taglio e kebab. Nessuno contesta le scelte commerciali, ma certi commenti potrebbero essere evitati.
Concludendo: anche se nel complesso abbiamo mangiato bene, sicuramente non torneremo in questo ristorante

Excellent dishes, service to be reviewed.
The overall rating of three comes out by taking the arithmetic mean between menu and service: 5 for the menu and 1 for the service. We ordered what we think is the restaurant's highlight: the Montecristo risotto with lobster (excellent) and the swordfish parmigiana (equally excellent). The dessert (raspberry cheese cake) was passable, but not up to the standard of the other two.
The sore point concerns the service, decidedly unprofessional and unwelcoming.
1) Reservation at 9pm: upon our arrival we are invited to sit at an internal table already set, saying that there is no place outside. To our request to have a table, which needed to be cleared, at least near the door leading to the terrace, we were answered, in a somewhat unfriendly way, that at that point we might as well clear one outside, and so on the end was done, without too many problems.
2) The focaccia and bread brought to the table were stale, presumably from the day before.
3) Before bringing us the "Montecristo risotto", for the lobster we were provided with the tools used to remove the pulp from the claws, one of which, the scoop, was already used, with food residues. At our request it was replaced, but the impression that something like this creates is terrible.
4) When ordering the second course, it was around 10pm, we were told, again in a not too polite manner, to hurry up and order because the kitchen was about to close. One of two things: either you don't take reservations for 9.00 pm or you have to be quicker in bringing to the table the only dish that had been ordered up until then, because we hadn't taken either aperitif or starter, but only both , the risotto.
5) I advise against asking for a single glass of wine: 6.00 euros for two scant fingers, poured in the kitchen and brought into the dining room, rather than poured at the table from the bottle. If so, take the whole bottle.
6) At the time of payment we asked if the American Express card was accepted, and despite the confirmation, in the end it was not possible to do so. Nothing bad, but I don't think it's appropriate to comment, from another person who intervened specifically from the kitchen, with a phrase like "given the higher commissions no one wants it and it seems right to me". I have used the Amex several times also in pizzerias and kebab shops. Nobody disputes the commercial choices, but certain comments could be avoided.
Bottom line: we won't be back.
