07/09/2025: A spacious and very clean restaurant, a warm welcome, and attentive and professional service.
We started with a trio of first courses, supposedly for two, but the generous portions allowed four to sample: pappardelle with wild boar sauce, fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, and ravioli with walnut sauce. Truly superb. Moving on to the second courses, we ordered: roast suckling pig, wild boar cacciatore, and stewed snails, which were not on the menu. I'm very picky about wild boar, as it's my favorite dish, and I use it to gauge the quality of homemade dishes. I was truly satisfied with the selection of meats, tender as butter, expertly prepared (my compliments, really). Roast potatoes and wild chicory were served as a side dish. The house red wine, a respectable bottle from Cantina di Cerveteri, was also served. To finish, a delicious artisanal tiramisu.
Excellent value (less than €25 per person).
A well-deserved five stars.
