Monte Dei Capuccini In Torino

I've been frequenting this place for many years. On the right days, it has an enviable location, and I generally like it. But to be honest, despite a traditional and unsophisticated menu, the food sometimes falls short. A stone's throw from France, you can't bring a tough entrecôte so hard you can't cut it. The tiramisu is practically a glass of cream. The fried mushrooms: good but few, served in a minimalist manner. I understand it's a tourist destination, but lately the feeling of being on an assembly line ruins the experience. A little more effort in the kitchen would be necessary.

I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Al Monte dei Cappuccini, and the experience was truly special. The location is simply unique: overlooking the hill, it offers a breathtaking view of Turin, which becomes magical at sunset and with the evening lights. It's the perfect place for a romantic dinner or to celebrate an important occasion. The cuisine showcases Piedmontese tradition to the fullest, with carefully prepared dishes and top-quality ingredients. From appetizers to desserts, everything lived up to expectations. The butter and sage plin and the Piedmontese fritto misto, executed with great skill, are particularly recommended. The desserts are also worthy of a mention: the bunet is a true delight. The service was friendly and helpful, always attentive without ever being intrusive. The staff contributed to making the atmosphere even more pleasant and relaxed.

We ate in this truly enchanting location. Going up, you can admire all of Turin from above, and it's incredible!!! I had the agnolotti with roast beef sauce and a tagliata with roast potatoes. Divine dishes. Careful and attentive service. The waiters were truly meticulous, professional, and friendly. I highly recommend this incredible Turin gem!!!! 🥰👏
