This restaurant has beautiful decor and serves delicious Sicilian cuisine—even though it’s in Rome, lol.
We loved the fusilli pasta—it was packed with flavor. It’s not a touristy spot; mostly locals eat here, which is always a good sign.

We had the cacio e pepe here and everything was excellent. All the staff were incredibly friendly, respectful, and welcoming. The lady who took care of us was especially kind and attentive. The pasta was truly different, delicious, and genuinely traditional, maybe the best i’ve ever had. Thank you kindly.

Had a lovely dinner here with my mother, a bit pricy but if you want to enjoy a wonderful pasta with perfect wine reccomended this is for you.

Emma took great care of us and spoke English well. She explained the tasting menu option, and it was well worth the trip. Manuel, the chef, made the desserts with precision and beauty tableside. He also explained where the wines and family recipes came from. Pablo, the second server, did not speak much, but he was kind and attentive. One thing to note, the Tasting service with wine is 15 decently sized portions with 4 different pastas, 2 Desserts, and multiple appetizers. Each course has its matching wine paring. Make sure to have plenty of room to eat if ordering the full Tasting. Also, call ahead and make a reservation as they can be quite busy. A special thanks again to Emma. She went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful evening in this corner of Lucanian traditions.
Excellent food, professional and friendly service, enveloping atmosphere, excellent wine cellar.
Meeting the chef was the icing on the cake, or rather, on the profiterole!

Excellent restaurant with its unusual entrance, don't hesitate to ring. Very good dishes, especially the cacio e pepe, and a very warm welcome. Special mention to Emma who took good care of us :)

A small place with impecable service and food. A real feel with history, not one of those tourist trap places. Cacio el pepe was wonderful! Profiterole to die for, with a special twist in serving. Special mention to the wonderful waitress Emma. Loved this place and will surely visit again next time I am in Rome. Bellísimo

Ristorante eccellente per qualità del cibo, discrezione del servizio, location e pulizia. L'attuale gestore, Emanuela, garbato ed istrionico, prosegue la tradizione iniziato dal babbo e la mamma oltre 50 anni fa. Il padre e la madre an ora oggi proseguono nell'aiuto in cucina, dai sapori licanine romani. Personalmente ritengo il cacio e pepe di questo ristorante un must per la particolare elaborazione (molto "secco" rispetto alla norma, ormai esageratamente liquida). Non dimentico le pezze pazze (carne speziata), o i molti altri piatti tipici (alcuni forti, altri delicati)n non ultimo il profitteroles con cioccolato sciolto al momento. Nel mare magnum dei ristoranti di Roma (molti buoni in verità, ma altri molto "commerciali") questo ristorante è una garanzia di qualità importante. Consigliatissimo

Si scendono pochi gradini e si entra in un mondo di accoglienza gentile e generosa. Ci si rilassa e si apprezza tutto: l’ambiente e l’arredo; il proprietario e il personale; il cibo e il vino. Ogni piatto presentato è speciale; ogni scelta incontrerà i vostri gusti dalla pasta fatta in casa insieme al pane di tradizione lucana e romana; alle zuppe del giorno e alle verdure, per finire ai formaggi e ai dolci. Gentilissima Emma che vi accompagna e serve in tavola e il proprietario Manuele che si muove tra i tavoli e la cucina dandovi consigli e informazioni con naturalezza e competenza, frutto di una esperienza accumulata negli anni.
Un ristorante da dieci e lode da provare e a cui ritornare come abbiamo fatto io e mio marito!
