Everything was excellent and surprising. We went at a friend's invitation. It's well located, close to Termini, and you can walk to several places. We had a heart-shaped ravioli starter. That's when we realized that Romans prefer pasta al dente, and for us, it was excellent, just right, and delicious. Then we had Amatriciana, melt-in-your-mouth and spicy—yes, for those who don't expect it, it can be spicy. Next, we had Cacio e Pepe, which has a lot of cheese and a bit of pepper. It's the main dish, and it came from Monte Caruso, and it has an original recipe. And then we continued with a delicious and succulent polpette con pomodoro, which comes with fresh tomatoes. A wonderful experience. And to finish, a dessert with a demonstration by Chef Emanuele preparing Dolce far niente. I highly recommend ending with this dessert. The atmosphere is rustic, romantic, and a pleasant place to linger. Right at the entrance, as you go down, there's a wall with various messages, including from famous Italian figures. And the decor is the work of fellow chef Mr. Domenico. If you truly want to experience authentic and delicious Roman cuisine, we recommend Cicilardone a Monte Caruso. And come back again.

Very charming restaurant. Found out it is family owned. You can definitely tell. The service was excellent and food was outstanding! Would definitely go back for dinner.

Our favorite meal in Rome! This is a really charming and intimate restaurant, and the owner clearly takes pride in the food. We were blown away by the homemade pasta (keep it simple and go with the basic Pomodoro and Basil). The veal meatballs were also great. Dessert was outstanding.

Very charming and elegant restaurant. Delicious food. Excellent service. Great owner/waiter (there was one gentleman taking care of everyone and he explained to us that the dishes are derived from the areas around where his parents are from, adding a nice personal touch to the dining experience).

Great experience eating here even during busy season. Service was impeccable, they were very helpful and respectful of my nut allergy and the food was perfect for a hot summer night. Would absolutely come here again and recommend to friends and family

The best experience, food I have had in Italy.
I have been from como to portofino to Florence and this by far this is the best restaurant for the price. The food is authentic from southern Italy. It should have a at least a 1 star Michelin. Recommend, Emmanuel is an amazing guy.

Ristorante eccellente per qualità del cibo, discrezione del servizio, location e pulizia. L'attuale gestore, Emanuela, garbato ed istrionico, prosegue la tradizione iniziato dal babbo e la mamma oltre 50 anni fa. Il padre e la madre an ora oggi proseguono nell'aiuto in cucina, dai sapori licanine romani. Personalmente ritengo il cacio e pepe di questo ristorante un must per la particolare elaborazione (molto "secco" rispetto alla norma, ormai esageratamente liquida). Non dimentico le pezze pazze (carne speziata), o i molti altri piatti tipici (alcuni forti, altri delicati)n non ultimo il profitteroles con cioccolato sciolto al momento. Nel mare magnum dei ristoranti di Roma (molti buoni in verità, ma altri molto "commerciali") questo ristorante è una garanzia di qualità importante. Consigliatissimo
