Very good restaurant: quality dishes at low prices, nice atmosphere, and we were able to take advantage of the coworking space to have an important video conference before the meal.

When we arrived, 2 young women were outside the door smoking! One of them might be part of the staff. As the night progressed, every time someone came in, the door was never fully closed, and the cigarette smoke came into the restaurant. My son had to constantly get up and close the door! Also, beggars from the outside came in and begged for food and/or money as we were sitting down looking at the menu. The Pasta Norma was good but the lamb & veal in my Mafe Senegalese was tough.

We had a great time at this place, which serves a variety of ethnic dishes. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

This place is undoubtedly alive. From the staff, to the decor, to the dishes: there's a coherence! Everything comes together perfectly, creating a distinctive identity. Highly recommended as a multi-ethnic restaurant.

Wish I could review the food. With a 20% occupied place we were asked to sit on a table which we said we did not like as it was right under the aircond flow. The waitress told us to wait for another table to be cleared but left us there for a good 15 minutes and completely forgot about us. We eventually left the place, without any staff even noticing us. I believe the food is amazing, as long as it gets all the care missing from the service.

The seafood couscous was amazing, as was the Tunisian brick (lol at the name). We asked if this place had halal meat options, they said yes but I’ve noticed in some places in Sicily it’s assumed halal as long as there is no pork, which is untrue (the meat itself must be slaughtered in a certain way, ie Zabiha). So we avoided the meat, but perhaps someone else can confirm We booked on TheFork app which at a 20% discount at the time

21/12/2025: Excellent food with an open kitchen. Original and sophisticated menu. Beautiful venue. I would improve the service: I had to wait quite a while before anyone asked if I wanted a drink or if I was ready to order. Overall, one of my favorite restaurants in Palermo.

Al Carlotta Giro Pasta

31/01/2026: I had dinner here last night, quiet place and very kind waiter, he often came to ask if everything was okay.
17/01/2026: We returned to Carlotta in Villa last night. We tried the lemon croquettes (spectacular) and the Tunisian bricks (delicious). This time I tried the pizza, with a special dough, which was very light and easily digestible, with quality ingredients. My wife and daughter confirmed their choice of meat and fish couscous, which I also tried, very seasoned with an excellent broth.
