I don't usually write reviews, and I only do so when truly necessary.
In this case, it's worth sharing my experience as a former industry professional.
Mokambo's gelato is simply what we should be used to eating: not overly sweet, not overly cold, and with every bite, the flavor of the chosen flavor remains intact.
The same goes for the cream: fresh, not overly sweet, and whipped with a stand mixer as it should be.
Truly exceptional! It will be a pleasure for me to visit you again whenever I'm in the area ☺️

For me, the best ice cream in Italy: the taste, the quality of the products, the service, and above all, Giuliana's magnificent smile.

For me, a pistachio lover, I finally got to try gelato with real Bronte pistachio, and it's beyond compare. Here, discover the difference between pistachio gelato and Bronte pistachio gelato. The work behind it is truly commendable.

We drove two hours and made a special stop in this town just to try it, and it was absolutely worth it. We half-expected an old, overrated shop clinging to its past fame, but instead we found something extraordinary: this is gelato at a whole new level, like the haute couture of frozen desserts. The taste, the quality of the ingredients, the flavors — it’s simply another league. This gelato shop is truly one of a kind — there’s a gelato, and then there’s the Mokambo gelato. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the best in the world.
We even had the honor of chatting with Giuliana, the owner, who was so kind to share her time and tell us about her process and passion. An unforgettable experience — if you love gelato, this is a must stop whenever you are in Italy!

On our trip, we went there specifically to try the ice cream. Incredibly delicious artisanal ice cream. We were explained the flavors and how they were made, which only made the decision harder. My favorite was pistachio.

Be careful where you publish the opening and closing times because adhering to what was indicated to us as per the attached photo, we arrived at 9:30 pm, specifically from Modugno to eat the ice cream of your ice cream shop. The door was closed, we tried to speak to those inside, but they sent us away rudely.

Mokambo a Ruvo è un'esperienza di gelato superlativa. Ingredienti ricercati fanno la differenza, a partire da una vaniglia dal sapore intenso e indimenticabile. La panna, ricca e vellutata, è di un livello superiore. Le granelle pregiate aggiungono un tocco di originalità e croccantezza. Se cerchi un gelato artigianale di altissima qualità, questo è il posto giusto. Assolutamente consigliato!
