I had an incredible experience. I'm an ice cream lover and I traveled from Madrid to Ruvo specifically to try them.
The philosophy behind the product and the way they make it are unique. It's not your typical fluffy, overly creamy, and sweet ice cream. On the contrary: the texture is impeccable and the flavors are real, deep, and very defined.
From the first spoonful, you can feel an authentic intensity and an impressive persistence on the palate. It's clear they don't use gums, enhancers, or artificial flavorings, but rather a few carefully selected, high-quality ingredients.
All the flavors are excellent, but I especially recommend the chocolate and quince.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We learned the history of the gelato recipe and the origins of the ingredients. A little trip back in time, where gelato shops like this are now hard to find. The gelato tasted truly amazing, unique! We even took a tub home because we loved it so much! Highly recommended!

A top-notch gelato shop, where you can immediately sense the meticulous selection of ingredients. The flavors are made with natural, select ingredients. The result is an authentic, balanced, and flavorful gelato.
Every bite speaks of passion and quality.
A must-try for those who love REAL artisanal gelato. It was a wonderful discovery!!! Highly recommended.

What can I say? One of the best gelatos (if not gelato itself) I've ever had. Natural gelato, where every ingredient, except the sugar, is processed by the owners of the shop: they start with almonds to make the nougat flavor, and start with cocoa beans (not even the chocolate bar, the raw bean) to make the chocolate flavor; their pistachios are truly from Bronte (and they rightly charge for them). Chatting with the owner was a pleasure. A little gem definitely worth revisiting.
€5 for a gelato seems a lot, but it's worth every penny.

Amazing place. Giuliana is a wonderful person. She made us fall in love with everything right away... the price of the ice cream is worth it. We have never eaten such good ice cream in our life and we will return as soon as possible.

The open laboratory alone, with its majestic stone millstone at its center—where a single or blend of over 20 single-origin cocoa bean varieties, displayed individually in glass jars and whose provenance is displayed on a world map—makes you realize you're in a unique place, not just a Temple of Gelato.
For those who consider it too expensive, I'd encourage you to consider what you typically consume in other gelato shops: semi-finished products, chemical powders, sugars, and additives that should make gelato cost no more than €0.40 cents, instead of €3. Those, yes! They're too much for the extremely poor quality they're made of.
At Mokambo, we use only the finest raw materials, carefully selected and expertly prepared! And above all, they're explained and narrated in detail by those who truly make gelato with love.
Here, you're enjoying a sensory experience; you don't just eat an ice cream cone to cool down.
