Modo Café In Milano

Mom Cafe is a Milan institution, especially if you hang out in the Porta Romana area, but you need to know what to expect because it's not your typical "posh" Milanese bar. It's the perfect place if you're looking for a casual, laid-back atmosphere. Its strong point is definitely the quality-price ratio, something increasingly rare in the city: the cocktails are strong, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere is super friendly (you often end up drinking on the sidewalk, which is very "old Milanese"). Prices are among the most competitive in the area for a well-made drink. Unpretentious, full of substance, and a mix of people. The place is small and often crowded, so be prepared to stand or fight for a stool. On weekends, it can get really chaotic.

More mainstream and a meeting point than a bar for a good/quick drink

It is a nice cocktail bar in the Porta Romana. Mostly the choice of youth as I have observed. The atmosphere is nice, chilled with Italian and modern music. They serve food and alcohol, I had gin and tonic. I liked the vibes, and went there on a Saturday evening. It is a nice bar I would say. In means of pricing, quite reasonable and service is quick. I did not try food so I cant rate. Overall, recommended to grab a drink if you are visiting Milan!

Perfect for a last drink after a busy aperitivo. It's best to visit during the week, as on Saturday nights it's so crowded that people spill out onto the street. Reasonable prices: a beer is €5 and a drink is €8.

They usually serve free pizza from 8-9 which is amazing considering an aperol is 5 euros🤭

Mom was always one of my first favorite places; I used to go there quite often! Like all places, it has its pros and cons: it's changed a lot over the years—it used to be more popular with people between 25 and 35, while now it's become a place full of younger people. It's still one of the few places in Milan with affordable drinks, and the quality has remained as high as it once was. The aperitivo is classic Milanese (a few slices of pizza and chips), but after aperitivo time, peanuts are still on the bar, just like they used to be. Despite the changes, Mom remains one of Milan's most iconic bars, a must-visit for many!

Sbaglito, amazing. Crowd, amazing. Young, hip, busy, they got it all…

So crowdy!!! But cool. 80s music, 90s drinks, 00 people.

Very nice place, TOP atmosphere if you want to spend an evening among lots of people.
