Mizzica is always a great choice for lunch. I especially recommend their carcciate and arancini, which are hot and delicious. They also have a wide variety of first and second courses, not to mention the desserts.

A delicious Catanian deli with a wide selection of specialties. The arancini are delicious. The zeppole are fantastic.

Neither good nor bad. If I had to say I'd go back, but I wouldn't. Nothing spectacular, savory and sweet Sicilian fare. The desserts were too sweet, covering up the poor flavors of the products. The cassata was anything but cassata—a bit of ricotta, sponge cake soaked in flavorful liquids and covered in a cloying icing due to its sugariness. The best was the cream puff. Sicilian cannoli are made better by bakeries that copy Sicilian products. Products also found in other bakeries that didn't remind me of Sicily. The in-house staff were polite, the outside waiters a bit surly. A Valentine's Day dessert was not appreciated. Parking was difficult to find since it's near Piazza Bologna.

Mizzica is the perfect spot if you're looking for authentic Sicilian taste. Arancini, cartocciata and pastry are top quality. Prices are very affordable, especially compared to the size of the portions they serve. The staff is sometime not very helpful since there are a lot of choice and a bit more guidance would be appreciated, but I understood that you're gonna be more than happy with whatever product you pick. Highly suggested!

28/09/2025: Excellent breakfast, even my daughter enjoyed it. Our hospital stay was made even more pleasant by the products offered and the pleasant conversation. We'll have to return for lunch or dinner...
12/07/2025: We stumbled upon this little shop by chance and were blown away by the food selection! Typical Palermitan delicacies, such as bread and panelle, freshly fried arancini, and superb Sicilian cannoli. The guy behind the counter was incredibly friendly. We'll definitely be back.
