Very good bar, with exceptional Sicilian products, but the best are Arianna and Paolo, two fantastic people who made me go to Mizzica. They are the best.

A true Sicilian gem is Mizzica! on Via Catanzaro! A must-see not only for the quality of its products and the variety of sweet and savory options, but above all for the warm welcome and hospitality of its staff. I especially had the pleasure of being greeted early in the morning by the smiles of Arianna and Paolo/Piero, always bright and cheerful! This privilege is something very few places can offer. I prodotti per la colazione sono discretamente buoni, il problema è la scortesia del personale. Avevo chiesto un cappuccino e un ginseng, e la cameriera mi chiede se volessi un cappuccino ginseng o 1 cappuccino e 1 ginseng, le chiarisco ció che voglio, ma nonostante il chiarimento mi serve un cappuccino ginseng. Quando glielo faccio notare, si rivolge a me in maniera molto scortese, dicendo che era quello che avevo chiesto (cosa non vera in quanto lo avevo appunto chiarito). È intervenuto un altro cameriere che l’ha invitata a rifare il cappuccino, e lei procede in maniera molto scortese e scocciata a correggere il suo sbaglio. Non è un problema sbagliare la comanda, specie se il locale è pieno, ma rivolgersi così a un cliente si.

Cibo siciliano di ottima qualità, dagli arancini (catanesi quindi rigorosamente maschi), ai contorni di verdura, caponata, polpette etc., e ovviamente ai dolci, con menzione speciale per le granite. Da provare e riprovare.
