Open only for lunch, with a set menu and a tasting menu. The restaurant is small, but the dining room is beautifully furnished. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home with excellent dishes.

The name says it all: Mr. Barbera is a place that doesn't hide its roots. In Altavilla, it's a genuine trattoria that gets straight to the point! The cuisine is rigorously Piedmontese, the kind you'd expect in Monferrato. Traditional dishes, distinct flavors, and ingredients that taste of the region. There's no room for half measures or risky "reinterpretations." The place is small and intimate, which is a good thing: it signifies attention and care. Perfect for an honest and hearty dinner, perhaps with a good glass of Barbera to accompany it, of course. Prices are fair for the quality offered. A reliable classic for a €15 lunch menu with a first course, second course, side dish, water or wine, coffee, and dessert for €20. I'd recommend this place to anyone 👍

Good place for quality and price

A great eatery in the heart of Monferrato with a changing menu. We had the tagliolini pasta with meat and mushrooms ragù which was excellent!

A little hidden gem, a simple place, authentic cuisine, never pretentious, always delicious!
