Mirtillo Viola Bio In Grottammare

We sat on the tables outside, we ordered a trio of vegetables, I ordered a Falafel, the Falafel is served with an excellent rice mayonnaise, they made us taste some excellent Ascoli style olives, vegetarian. An informal and colorful place, with a small selection of natural wines. Inside there is also a counter (deli-style) and some high quality pasta/preserves/ products.

Sometimes a simple idea is a stroke of genius. So, when Benedetta and Luca decided to open their little but nice organic food store, they also had the idea to prepare and serve small dishes of cooked fresh vegetables, eggs, grains, seeds, etc. creating a humble but tasting menu of organic finger foods. Suddenly and unexpectedly the "organic shop/tasteful foods" formula became so successful that they had to enlarge the shop adding a larger clean cuisine and a nice cozy tables area. Today, at Mirtillo Viola you can simply buy local fresh vegetables or a freshly made piece of bread or, if you prefer, you can take your foods home or spend some very relaxing time while eating there. Saturday night, for the "AperiBio", is better to book in advance. The owners are very kind, the staff is efficient and courteous, the prices are affordable, and the food is very tasteful, sometimes slightly spiced and plenty of Mediterranean flavour. Furthermore, Luca is a professional language teacher and, of course, he speaks fluent English. What else?

È proprio vero, questo posto è una bottega con cucina, e la cucina è speciale, non banale e ben assortita.. noi abbiamo provato la pasta con salsiccia e cime di rapa, la zuppa con legume decorticati, gli involtini primavera e un assaggio di verdure.. tutto saporito e gustoso.. proprio una chicca in centro a grottammare.

Meraviglioso locale nel centro ( parte nuova ) di Grottammare, menù variegato pronto ad accontentare tutti le tipologie di esigenze, con una speciale selezione di produttori locali. Luca con la sua gentilezza vi accompagnerà sapientemente in questo viaggio enogastronomico, lasciatevi guidare ! Ottimo rapporto qualità / prezzo. A presto Francesco

Beautiful venue and atmosphere. We stopped for a glass of wine and ended up having dinner too. All the dishes are delicious and the owner is an excellent host. Highly recommended!
