I recommend to pay a bit extra for superior rooms towards the lake because I think being in the Travel rooms I d rate the hotel differently. The room we got is really clean,cosy, with high ceilings and smell of a wood and fresh linen. Matrasse is hard, could be too much for some people but we appreciated it. There is a minibar in the room. Shower is spacious and comfortable with good water pressure. The TV screen could be bigger. Terasse is awesome but if you are there the noise from the street may bother you. If you close the terasse door its pretty quiet thankfully. The breakfast is probably rich for local standards but if you re not italian then expect very average:) it cost 12 eur per person ...for hotel spa they give you a bathrobe and you have to change in the room and come back..it would be better if the bathrobe was alreadyin the room and some instructions...also drinks are outside at spa reception instead of inside at the resting room which is not practical

A very good experience at the Horizon Hotel. A truly relaxing moment. The spa is really good; we went in November, off-season, and we always found space in the sauna, steam room, or indoor pool with hydromassage. It's a bit far from the lakes (an hour to Como) and outside the city of Varese, but the on-site restaurant is very good, so there's no need to go out in the evenings (spoiler alert: it's a steakhouse). Every evening, our happy routine was to go to the spa and then enjoy a good steak 🥩. The staff was welcoming and very pleasant. The room was small but very clean and functional. Being on the ground floor is very convenient if you have a car.

Incredible service! I arrived very late and very hungry due to a flight delay, and they made me a fresh sandwich. The room is tidy and spacious with modern bathroom and several beauty products. I definetely recommend!

We stay at this hotel regularly, but this is the first time I'm writing a review! The setting is magnificent, surrounded by nature, and after a long day of driving, it's so peaceful! The service is impeccable, and everyone is very helpful and pleasant! However, regarding comfort, I must point out that the hotel has a serious problem with the pillows. They are as hard as wood and incredibly uncomfortable! This needs to be addressed! As for breakfast, it's varied, and everything is good. The only downside is that the sausages and bacon are always cold at the beginning of service, and there are often flies in the dining room… this isn't acceptable! Nevertheless, we will continue to stay here since these are small things that are easily corrected. Until next time, Laëtitia

I had a wonderful stay; the rooms were lovely and the staff friendly. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to use the spa. Breakfast was fantastic. Despite the crowds, there was a young man who, in addition to making excellent cappuccinos and being very kind and smiling, was running around like crazy. Truly excellent and professional. In short, a positive experience.

The staff was, as always, very friendly and helpful! Unfortunately, between September and December, there are a lot of stink bugs, which easily get into the room through the slightly leaky doors. That was a shame, otherwise everything was fine. I hope the hotel can fix this problem soon – then the stay will be perfect again!

A wonderful, relaxing weekend in Varese. The property is beautiful and well-designed, and the parking in front of the room is top-notch. The wellness center is fabulous, but a little too busy on Saturdays. Experience showers, sauna, Turkish bath, salt room, pool, and relaxation area. The room isn't huge, but it's very comfortable and functional. The only drawback is the poor soundproofing...when neighbors entered, it felt like they were entering your room. The breakfast was one of the best we've ever had. Scrambled egg, bacon, and mini sausages... mixed cold cuts, and two varieties of cheese. I love a savory breakfast, so I was thrilled. There was sliced ​​bread to toast, and then there was a nice selection of pastries with jarred jam and Nutella. The waiters were a little slow in setting up the tables for those who still had to eat, but that didn't significantly affect the service. We'll be back because we weren't able to eat dinner and would love to try their meat.
