A must visit! Great wines and the service is exceptional

Beautiful location in the heart of Alghero's historic old town. Domenico, our extremely charming and appreciative host, as was commonplace in times long past, steadfastly adheres to his now equally historic concept of nonexistent menus (except for the cocktail menu). The fact that this might arouse suspicion in this day and age is not an issue for him. Orders are based on mutual trust – and they never disappoint! We ordered only a glass of wine, and Domenico offered us a selection to taste. Where else can you find that? After our wine tasting, we asked for an espresso. His reply that the coffee machine was "broken" was a true comment, with the truth that he was the second host within an hour with the same problem... improbable, but true! Domenico was visibly hurt – we're sorry, but that speaks volumes. In conclusion: despite the unlikely coincidence with the broken coffee machines, stopping at this bistro was a wonderful experience. We would come back if we were in Alghero again...

Món Bar Bistrot is a hidden gem in Alghero’s historic centre. Perched on a charming cobbled lane, this intimate wine and cocktail bar is run by Domenico, whose warm, knowledgeable service turns every visit into a mini wine tasting experience. Their Aperol Spritz (around €7.50) and ‘After You’ signature cocktail are standouts, and the curated platters of Sardinian salumi, cheeses, crostini and tiramisù are perfect light bites. With outdoor seating and a relaxed, romantic atmosphere, it’s an ideal spot for a memorable evening aperitivo. Prices are mid‑range (€9–22 per person), so it’s excellent value for quality and ambiance.

A place immersed in the streets of the center of Alghero, it seems like the usual aperitif bar, but the host of the place creates an atmosphere of a starred place! Welcoming, professional, fun makes it extremely pleasant to drink even just a glass of wine (I would like to emphasize the pre-tasting before choosing the wine!), and bringing the various appetizers to the table one by one also manages to give excellent advice on the attractions of Alghero and the surrounding area!

Very nice bar on side street. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Serves salami and cheese boards.

Staff are brilliant (Jesus) and know the meticulous detail of each cocktail concoction. It’s in a beautiful quaint part of the old town on cobblestone, the seats positioning can be a bit dodge but it doesn’t take away from the enjoyment. I was long on the long islands but my partner tried the menu from top to bottom which she insists was worthy of note. Lovely chilled vibe. Each cocktail is accompanied by a variety of marshmallow to cleanse the pallet, which was appreciated.

Nice bar with nice genius loci in Alghero. Good wine selection and also drinks we tried Queen Elisabeth and Giro con mon - which are pictured below and were their signature drinks. They offer tiny food for guests. Nice and clean place, owner Domenico is always around serving his guests. Domenico - let your employees use the cash register, they will get more tips to the bar 😜

Great find! I stopped by by chance and sat down for the atmosphere, and it was a great choice. Great wines and even better people, thank you!
