Exactly what a wine shop in Italy should be like. Overcrowded with bottles, but still with a fairly good system. Big basement full of the real goodies and last, but not least: Full of older vintages for a good price. Combine that with passionate owners / sellers and you find exactly what I love about this (wine) world. Thank you for showing me the way to 5 bottles between 8 and 28 years 🥰
First of all, this is not tax free. I bought three bottles of red wine here, sassicaia 2017 for 350 euros, Falletto Barolo 2012 for 180 euros, and Lupicaia 2016 for 150 euros. Prices are generally slightly lower on Vivino, so the prices here are still fair. When I went to Rome Airport T3, I stopped by the Italian red wine in the duty-free shop. There were not many choices at the airport. Although it was duty-free, it was actually not much different from not being duty-free outside. To sum it up, I highly recommend buying red wine here. There are many choices and a lot of good wines. They also have an underground wine cellar with basically all kinds of famous wines. The boss will make recommendations based on needs. Of course, there are also wines from other countries, such as French red wine. Next time I pass by Florence, I will buy wine again.
