We tried Michelasso during a press tasting and can say without hesitation: here, vegetables are truly served "in a suit and tie."
The vegetarian tasting menu (€60) isn't a forced option, but a choice that defines the restaurant's identity. The flavors are clear, recognizable, and never confusing. From the cauliflower steak to the creamy provola cheese with broccoli rabe sorbet, the quality remains consistent from start to finish. The food is good, with technique and precision, but without losing its connection to Campanian tradition.
The wine cellar (around 450 labels) is also very interesting, with a selection that highlights Campania but also looks beyond, especially to France. The service is attentive, measured, and never intrusive.
The location, on Via Santa Brigida, is strategic: between Maschio Angioino, Piazza Municipio, and Via Toledo. The atmosphere is elegant yet convivial, spread across two levels.
Beyond the accolades (Michelin Guide and a 9.7 rating on TheFork), what remains is the feeling of a place that cares about its guests. Whether you're vegetarian or not, you'll leave satisfied.

A delight for the senses and the palate.
On Sunday, February 1st, I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Michelasso, enjoying a truly sublime gastronomic experience. Each dish was a journey through technique, balance, and creativity, where aesthetics and flavor meet in perfect harmony.
Chef Francesco Petito transforms select ingredients into authentic emotions, with refined yet sincere cuisine, capable of surprising without ever losing its elegance and identity.
Attentive service, a welcoming atmosphere, and an attention to detail that makes every moment special.
An experience that engages all the senses and that I recommend to anyone looking not just for lunch, but for a memory to take home.

I can safely say this is one of the best high end dinning expirenceces I have ever had and I've eaten at similar restaurants all over the world. The reason that this is at the top of those expirences is how well though out and perfectly balanced the menu was, each dish complementing the one after. We tried the tasting menu and I can honestly say there was not a course I didn't thoroughly enjoy. However, the main reason I will be raving about this place in years to come is how gracious and kind the staff were, we particularly enjoyed some of the courses and asked staff to relay this to the chef who came up to meet us. They even brought us a second course of cheese bread because we loved it so much. Good food will always be remembered but the brilliant, kind and knowledgeable staff really made this experience for us and I can't recommend you visit enough. If I ever return to Naples I most certainly will!

it’s a lovely restaurant and the staff are super attentive but the food is a let down really. everything was too sweet, from the amuse-bouches onwards. even the dessert is far too sweet. generally, i don’t think it was worth what we paid (it’s expensive) despite the great service

My wife and I had different menus: one fish and one meat, each with a wine pairing. Both were delicious, with balanced flavors and a perfectly matched wine. Excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. We'd go back anytime.
