We went to Mezza Luna based on the reviews of their carbonara pasta, and I have to say it's all true! Super generous portions and top-notch carbonara! The staff is very friendly and helpful, even ready to entertain guests with a chat, all in a typical trattoria setting! Super fair prices. A must-see in Orvieto. Reservations recommended.

We had the best spaghetti carbonara in 10 years!!! Then we ordered lombrichelli all'amatriciana: amazing egg pasta with plenty of flavorful sauce. Finally, a plate of tortellini with cream and sausage: the tortellino itself was exquisite, with just the right amount of filling and excellent flavor. We'll definitely be back from Rome for their delicious and super generous dishes!! PS: The photos I'm posting are half portions.

I love carbonara. It's delicious!! It's the best place in the world. Antonio is a friendly and helpful host. The zuppa inglese is also excellent. A place to definitely return!

16/08/2025: We loved this unassuming spot. The staff were delightful and the lasagne special was out of this world. It was lovely sitting outside and the kids loved their pizza. Such great value. Thank you x

17/08/2025: The appetizers are excellent and very generous. For this reason, I recommend ordering a medium appetizer, even if you're serving four people, or you risk not being able to eat the rest. The service was impeccable: even when we belatedly told the waiter that my father was allergic to a certain ingredient in the appetizer we'd already been served, the owner offered us an entire second appetizer just for him. As for dessert, I recommend the tiramisu.
13/08/2025: Rustic dinner excellence, generous dishes, reasonable prices, kind and very friendly staff...plus...the fresh breeze cheers everything up on these scorching summer days.
