You can enjoy the best Italian home cooking. The ragu pasta is, without a doubt, the best. Overall, it's a delicious restaurant.

The carbonara is superb, the rest of the menu is in line with local fare, as is the price. Everyone is always very kind and attentive, and the place is cute and traditional, though a little cramped and very noisy when crowded.

Trattoria Mezza Luna is one of those places that makes you feel instantly at home. This is thanks to Antonio and his wife, who run the establishment with great passion and a rare level of hospitality. Antonio, the perfect host, manages to make every guest feel completely at ease, creating a convivial, homey atmosphere that makes you feel like you're dining with a relative rather than a restaurant. The menu is a true tribute to the traditional flavors of Orvieto. The signature dish, renowned and deservedly celebrated, is spaghetti alla carbonara, called by many—and now by us too—Number One. But the gastronomic experience certainly doesn't stop there. The appetizer of bruschetta with Colonnata lard, broccoli pâté, artichoke pâté, tomatoes, and chicken livers is excellent. The first courses are also exquisite: Lombrichelli all'Amatriciana and Eteusca, prepared with sausage and mushrooms, both rich in flavor and perfectly executed. To finish on a sweet note, two homemade desserts are truly worth a try: zuppa inglese and lemon delizia, both fresh, authentic, and delicious. The restaurant has a slightly dated style, admittedly, but it's still neat, clean, and welcoming. The location is very convenient: just steps from the center, with ample parking right next to the elevators. It's literally ten steps from the elevator, and about fifty meters from the escalators. In short, Mezza Luna is an authentic trattoria, where good food and a warm welcome truly make the difference. Highly recommended for those seeking a genuine, flavorful dinner in a family atmosphere.
