Mexicali di viale Bligny In Milano

Small but nice place, friendly staff. Not very good value for money, we didn't have a particularly good time

I was visiting Milan for couple days, I tried this place, and I had to come back once more as the food we had was really amazing, the taste the flavours. Atmosphere is cosy, staff is great too. If you are in Milan, you must visit !

I've tried several Mexicans and this one is among the best and, although it's not exactly among the cheapest (average price of €30 per person), the game is worth it

Scendendo con la metro a Porta Genova, prima di farvi travolgere dalla famosa movida dei Navigli, vi consiglio di fermarvi a mangiare un boccone al Mexicali, che troverete camminando lungo il corso di via Vigevano. Ad accogliervi sarà il folklore e i colori caldi del Messico: il giallo e l’arancio dei piatti e dei bicchieri, fino al rosso che domina le pareti. Il cibo è quello della tradizione messicana, che rinuncia a quell’eleganza costruita dei ristoranti gourmet, proponendo sapori veraci da gustare con le mani. Non perdetevi dunque il burritos, meglio se lo dividete, perché abbondante, piccante al punto giusto, i tacos al pulled pork e l’immancabile fajitas servita con salsa guacamole e crema di fagioli, che meritano un buono. Il servizio è molto giovane e sorridente, ma attendo ai bisogni del cliente e merita quindi un discreto, così come il rapporto qualità/prezzo, compensato dalle porzioni abbondanti. Nota dolente il bagno, senza differenza di genere, che obbliga a fare la fila anche per lavarsi le mani e che già a metà serata si presenta in modo poco adeguato, quindi non raggiunge la sufficienza, così come l’aerazione del locale, in quanto non appena usciti, capelli e abiti ricorderanno una frittella di carnevale.
