This was our second visit to this seafood restaurant, where the ambiance, service, and food are excellent.
However, I'm giving it three stars because spending €90 for a lunch of two grilled fish dishes—where grilled is a fairly modest dish, filled mostly with shellfish (see image), with just a tiny red mullet and two post-grill sorbets—seems like a hefty sum.
The prices are probably reasonable for the central area, and regular customers have no problem affording them.

Very good restaurant, always fresh fish and truly refined flavors. I'm happy to have discovered this place where I can go for excellent dishes. Highly recommended!

After several occasions (including a 50th wedding anniversary), I think and confirm that Calanca is truly top-notch in every way...
The elegant, spotlessly clean atmosphere and the knowledgeable, friendly, and always smiling staff are truly exceptional!
The food deserves applause from every perspective...the variety of fresh fish is exquisitely presented.
The owner is always present, friendly, and polite, with a kind word for every customer.
Highly recommended.

I visited La Calanca da Leo in Milan and can say that the food was truly excellent. The dishes were well-seasoned and beautifully served, and the Vermentino "Karagnanj" was special. The dinner was very pleasant and the service was efficient.
However, I noticed an issue with one of the waiters, who fortunately didn't serve our table. The waiter in question made some behavioral mistakes that ruined the experience for some customers. After scratching his butt, he re-set a table, touching the cutlery with his hands without cleaning them, which is unacceptable. He also had the habit of wiping his mouth and face with the napkin he held over his shoulder.
Despite this incident, my overall experience was positive, and I recommend the restaurant for the quality of the food and service. I hope the restaurant can improve staff training to ensure an even more pleasant experience for all customers.
*Tip:* If you are sensitive to hygiene and service, you can ask to be served by another waiter. In any case, the food is really good and worth trying.
