But what a great discovery!! We had the pleasure of returning to Memoranda Food for the second time for the Epiphany lunch and I must say that it was once again a very pleasant confirmation. Very friendly staff, welcoming environment and delicious food. Generous and tasty portions. Passed with flying colors!!

Avere un ristorante posizionato davanti al Castello Volante di Corigliano d'Otranto è di per sé un ottimo punto di partenza, ma resterebbe un dettaglio fine a sé stesso se non fosse accompagnato da un servizio attento al cliente e da un'ottima cucina. Memoranda riesce nell'alchimia, permettendo all'avventore di apprezzare pietanze gustose e abbondanti, e di farlo con lo sfondo di un monumento caratteristico e imponente. Alla cordialità del padrone di casa Marco, e alla competenza del cuoco Fernando, si aggiunge una politica di prezzi decisamente contenuti: con una pepata di cozze e una frittura di pesce da un lato, e un carpaccio di pesce spada più trofie al profumo di mare dall'altro, accompagnati da un buon vino bianco locale (Chardonnay Cantalupi del 2023 da 375 ml) in due spendiamo 30 euro a testa, con tanto di un prosecco offerto appena seduti e di un buon liquore prima di andar via. In virtù di cotanta grazia, il ristorante Memoranda non può che diventare una tappa immancabile da raccomandare a chiunque, per lavoro o per diletto, muovendosi tra i mille paesi dell'entroterra salentino, scelga di far visita alla splendida Corigliano d'Otranto.

Having a restaurant located in front of the Flying Castle of Corigliano d'Otranto is in itself an excellent starting point, but it would remain a detail in itself if it were not accompanied by attentive customer service and excellent cuisine. Memoranda succeeds in alchemy, allowing the customer to appreciate tasty and abundant dishes, and to do so against the backdrop of a characteristic and imposing monument. Added to the friendliness of the host Marco, and the competence of the chef Fernando, is a decidedly low price policy: with a mussel sauce and fried fish on one side, and a swordfish carpaccio plus sea-scented trofie on the other, accompanied by a good local white wine (2023 Chardonnay Cantalupi of 375 ml) the two of us spend 30 euros each, complete with a prosecco offered as soon as we sit down and of a good liqueur before leaving. By virtue of such grace, the Memoranda restaurant can only become an unmissable stop to be recommended to anyone, for work or pleasure, moving between the thousand villages of the Salento hinterland, who chooses to visit the splendid Corigliano d'Otranto.
