Mediterraneo Cafe' In Taormina

We visited this little wine bar twice as we liked it. The first time we had the delicious Etna wine with a cheese & olive board. The second time we had afternoon cocktails. It's a quiet little bar on a busy walkway. The staff were friendly and service was good.

This place is spectacular. I’m a noted critic and have taken a lot of pleasure reading the reviews and the cheeky responses from the owner on Google about this place. Honestly, I think someone has a personal vendetta against this place because it is truly delightful. Super cute, great service, tasty light bites. All the whining about prices is so confusing because the prices are consistent with everything in the neighborhood. Give this place a shot. It rocks.

It’s overpriced but the ambiance when we went made it a nice night out.

Really enjoyed this bar. A nice “hidden gem” - perhaps not so hidden since it is on a street with lots of footfall, but the appearance is perhaps not as glamorous as some of the more obvious tourist bars. Don’t be put off; the drinks are nice and the service is good. We came back a couple evenings in a row and had a lovely time drinking, talking and watching the people go by. Ignore the one star reviews! Several of them are suspiciously similar in how they are worded. Also, it’s really not that much of a problem to find somewhere that is “cash only” (which this bar is) - you should not assume that everywhere accepts card payments. Similarly, it’s bad manners to walk in to any venue and help yourself to use the toilet when you are not a customer. This is a very nice bar. It was recommended to me and I would recommend to others.

I think this place is significantly under rated, in my experience the girl serving me was very polite, the drink was nice, inside was beautiful and outside sitting was also very good with some pretzels offered with our drinks. Also when asked for their best cocktail the girl offered us a surprise cocktail with passion fruit which was fantastic!

The cocktail was full of ice cubes.. but the place itself was a nice Italian small cafe but…

Cute bar. Great selection of drinks. They have absolutely everything. Nice atmosphere. Cocktails average €13. Beer is €8 (quite expensive).

3.5 is not reflective of this hidden gem. Bam Bar is a tourist trap joke. Come here, unplug and enjoy a real experience. We came for lunch, then came again for a glass of wine to end the day. Perfetto!

Got my other half drunk and he’s not a drinker, They were so friendly when I asked for a coffee explained they don’t do hot stuff but can make him a virgin espresso martini and it was so nice, would recommend here!
