Beautiful place in the heart of the city's most historic and characteristic streets. Delicious food; I recommend the tacos, hummus, couscous, and bombette—everything is delicious! The owner and staff are top-notch! I love this place.

We were well looked after by the staff at Matera Prima. The food was exquisite with different choices of dishes to choose. I highly recommend this lovely and cosy little gem.

Solo necesitaba comida, pero nuestra comida era genial con personal muy servicial y amable. Lasaña italiana apropiada. Excelente vino tinto de la casa. Buenas cervezas. Solo una selección de dos postres, pero estaban deliciosos. Si estuviera aquí más tiempo, definitivamente volvería. Gracias a todos ustedes 🙏😄.

La Cremeria dell'Angelo

13/10/2025: Amazing gelato, the best in Matera!! It was so creamy and wasn’t too sweet for our Asian taste buds. We tried other flavours but our favourite is pistachio and chocolate! Their tiramisu is also absolutely delicious, highly recommend!
11/10/2025: Exceptional. Best gelato found during a ten day trip around Matera and Puglia. Can recommend the mango, the Croccante all'Amarena, and Magnificus.
