Materia In Roma

The coffees and pastries were very good, although they got the coffees mixed up and gave us a cornetto that wasn't the flavor we ordered, but everything was still quite tasty and the place was very nice inside.

Materia is a very well-kept restaurant with a welcoming, Nordic style. It's centrally located in the San Giovanni area, at Via Andrea Provana 7. Excellent value for money. They offer excellent breakfasts, aperitifs, and dinner. They also have lovely desserts for afternoon tea. I've been there several times and have always had a great experience. The food is delicious, but not only that. In short, if you're curious, you have to try it at least once. The staff is young, welcoming, and passionate. I'll definitely be back.

This is a lovely cafe along Via Andrea Provana around 5-6 minute walk from Santa Scala and Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano. The indoor seating is very modern and very nice. Menu features breakfast, brunch style dishes and bakery items. Opening hours are 8am to 12am (weekdays) and 9am to 12am (weekends). We stopped by after a morning of sightseeing recently and were very happy with our caffè e cornetto orders. Croissant and pain du chocolate were both very good, as were our espresso, American and Cappuccino. Service was very friendly and polite, prices reasonable. Would gladly return to for another round of coffee and light bites based on this experience.

The place is considered a local spot; there aren't many tourists. Most of the people are individuals or groups for work or study, but the atmosphere is nice and lively. The staff are lovely and very welcoming, explaining things and making suggestions. We ordered Turkish eggs, and they were delicious. We asked for an extra one because we wanted them cooked whole, and at first they said they couldn't, but then they said they would make them fried. It's really great that they're happy to serve their customers. The second thing we ordered was smoked tuna, but we didn't like it. The sauce was too strong and made the sandwich heavy and greasy for breakfast. The water is free, and the coffee is just okay.

Truly excellent breakfast! A charming and unique location, friendly and enthusiastic staff: you can feel the attention to every detail. I recommend this place for a different kind of breakfast and truly top-notch service, ideal for those staying nearby... and beyond! I highly recommend it!

Good food and great place to study/socialize

Very cozy and quiet place, but high prices.

The toilet doors do not close completely and when somebody outside waits it can be really embrassing. such a cafe with this ambiance shouldnt have such deficits.maybe owners read this comment.
