The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming, not very spacious but warm. I only tried three items, but they were very good. The service was a bit slow, but nothing remarkable; the staff was always smiling and friendly. It was quite noisy, making it difficult to talk, but that was only because there was a large table of children and their parents.

Intimacy and warmth. Whether it's brunch, a coffee with friends, or a beer alone, there's no place in San Giovanni that exudes such authenticity.

The coffees and pastries were very good, although they got the coffees mixed up and gave us a cornetto that wasn't the flavor we ordered, but everything was still quite tasty and the place was very nice inside.

This is a lovely cafe along Via Andrea Provana around 5-6 minute walk from Santa Scala and Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano. The indoor seating is very modern and very nice. Menu features breakfast, brunch style dishes and bakery items. Opening hours are 8am to 12am (weekdays) and 9am to 12am (weekends). We stopped by after a morning of sightseeing recently and were very happy with our caffè e cornetto orders. Croissant and pain du chocolate were both very good, as were our espresso, American and Cappuccino. Service was very friendly and polite, prices reasonable. Would gladly return to for another round of coffee and light bites based on this experience.

Materia is a very well-kept restaurant with a welcoming, Nordic style. It's centrally located in the San Giovanni area, at Via Andrea Provana 7. Excellent value for money. They offer excellent breakfasts, aperitifs, and dinner. They also have lovely desserts for afternoon tea. I've been there several times and have always had a great experience. The food is delicious, but not only that. In short, if you're curious, you have to try it at least once. The staff is young, welcoming, and passionate. I'll definitely be back.

The place is considered a local spot; there aren't many tourists. Most of the people are individuals or groups for work or study, but the atmosphere is nice and lively. The staff are lovely and very welcoming, explaining things and making suggestions. We ordered Turkish eggs, and they were delicious. We asked for an extra one because we wanted them cooked whole, and at first they said they couldn't, but then they said they would make them fried. It's really great that they're happy to serve their customers. The second thing we ordered was smoked tuna, but we didn't like it. The sauce was too strong and made the sandwich heavy and greasy for breakfast. The water is free, and the coffee is just okay.

07/12/2025: I think it's a must after eating at Il Campidano Restaurant, which in my opinion is one of the best restaurants in Rome, in the Eur Montagnola area. Everything was delicious and top-quality. I recommend trying it, but only for gourmets.
09/11/2025: A family-friendly restaurant. Excellent seafood, no frills, and friendly, cheerful service that immediately puts you at ease. The place for a Sunday lunch together, always a sure thing.

From the very first moment, Massimiliano, the owner, stood out for his professionalism and attentiveness, accommodating every need of me and my guests. He created a personalized menu for us that transformed the table into a blend of traditional Roman flavors, making everyone feel at home, even those who had traveled from far away to celebrate with me. The simple and authentic atmosphere perfectly complemented the moment, making it a precious memory. The staff was equally friendly, helpful, and always smiling. 08/11/2025: We went to Massimo Hosteria Cacio e Pepe two nights in a row. What can I say? Excellent food, typical Roman dishes, very friendly and competent staff, and a superb chef... Saturday evening we also enjoyed live music. Massimo was a great guy, a down-to-earth person and a true host.
