A lovely, very cute and unique little place, with very particular furnishings and a style all its own, but in the context it is definitely one of a kind, good background music with the great Pino Daniele and this is highlighted fully in the style of the place with his vinyl albums displayed everywhere, typically classic Neapolitan dishes, excellent appetizers with good quality cold cuts and cheeses, Neapolitan fried food and many other typical Campania products and dishes, excellent mixed side dishes, zucchini scapece, sautéed mushrooms, eggplant with mushrooms, eggplant parmigiana, everything cooked excellently and with love you can taste it, consistency, seasoning, preparation and care of the product is evident, delicious first courses, (a small flaw, out of three first courses tasted, all three very savory, attention not only with the salt, but also in the combination of the products used which release savory) but despite this there was flavor and the pasta was cooked perfectly, excellent selection of wines, classic liqueurs nothing special Honestly, I would have liked some special liqueurs, perhaps artisanal, not the classic banal bar liqueurs. Good service, very kind and helpful staff who put customers at ease. The owner is a very welcoming and friendly person. Congratulations to everyone.

A jewel of Neapolitan tradition – Mastu Giacomo
I went to Mastu Giacomo in Frattamaggiore and I was really impressed. A small but welcoming trattoria, with a warm and familiar atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away. Every detail of the place tells stories of tradition, and the name – dedicated to the owners’ grandfather – is already a beautiful tribute to the roots.
The cuisine is simply exceptional: traditional Neapolitan dishes prepared with passion and quality ingredients. Pasta and potatoes, Genovese, meatballs, frittatine… everything really delicious. Generous portions and authentic flavors, like those of the past.
The staff is very kind, helpful and always smiling: they look after you from start to finish with attention, but without being intrusive.
The prices are average, but quality comes at a price – and here every euro is well spent.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a true Neapolitan experience, made of good food, tradition and a great welcome.

Oggi abbiamo pranzato al Ristorante di Mastrogiacomo a Portici. Il locale è piccolo ma molto accogliente, curato nei dettagli, con un’atmosfera che mette subito a proprio agio. Fin dal primo momento il personale si è dimostrato estremamente cordiale, gentile e disponibile. Lo chef, con grande professionalità, è venuto più volte in sala per accertarsi che tutto procedesse al meglio: gesto ormai raro e molto apprezzato.
Abbiamo mangiato davvero benissimo. Sembrava di riscoprire i sapori autentici di casa: una cucina semplice ma al tempo stesso curata e attenta.
Abbiamo iniziato con un antipasto a base di mozzarella e una fritturina deliziosa, con delle polpettine davvero eccellenti. A seguire, una generosa insalata di polpo con patate, fresca e gustosa.
Eravamo in tre e abbiamo scelto tre primi diversi: spaghetti alla Nerano, pasta alla genovese e linguine con le cozze – tutti piatti ben eseguiti, saporiti e abbondanti. Per concludere in dolcezza, abbiamo preso tre dessert (tutti ottimi), accompagnati da una bottiglia di Falanghina e acqua.
A fine pasto ci sono stati offerti gli amari dalla casa. Il conto finale è stato di 120 €, ben spesi per la qualità e l’abbondanza di quanto servito.
Un’esperienza più che positiva, che sicuramente consiglio e che ripeteremo volentieri!

Typical Neapolitan cuisine, very seasoned for my tastes but within traditional levels. Fast and friendly service, fair price.
Three stars for the environment and not five because all those chairs hanging over your head create a little discomfort and then the lamps are not at a height sufficient to avoid some "headbutts".
