I went to Mastrociccio on a Sunday: I recommend arriving no later than 12:00, otherwise the line becomes miles long.
The format is absolutely winning, the organization is excellent, and there's a wide selection of traditional Apulian dishes revisited with a modern twist. The quality is good; the only negative, which is why I'm taking away a star, is that some sauces were added to my menu that I didn't request, for a total of €4.50. The prices are reasonable, however, and the portions are generous.
The place is a bit small, but overall the experience was positive, and I recommend it.

The delicious pasta served here makes you want to come back again and again. The meals are reasonably priced and taste like authentic Italian cuisine.

Oh well! I ate a burrata sandwich with giant octopus and thought it would stay in my stomach. But instead... It was so fresh and good I had to get another one.
Now I live only with the hope of being able to return to Bari to eat that sandwich again. Delicious 😋😋😋😋👌

If you are in Bari and don’t stop at Mastro Ciccio, you are doing it wrong.
This little rosticceria is absolutely phenomenal. We tried the mussels panzerotti, the ragù panzerotti, and the octopus panini. Every single bite was pure Puglia. The dough was perfectly golden and crisp outside, soft and flavorful inside. The mussels filling tasted fresh from the sea, the ragù was rich and comforting, and the octopus panino was tender, perfectly seasoned, and unforgettable.
Beyond the food, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. You feel the warmth immediately... the kind of genuine Southern Italian hospitality that makes the whole experience even better.
Simple place. Serious flavor. 100% worth it.
Can’t wait to go back.

Great sandwiches, the specialty is the octopus and mozzarella sandwich, a mix of seafood - unique - fresh and incredibly delicious. They have been awarded by TripAdvizor for several years in a row.
