Masto In Roma

This was my first meal in Rome. Absolutely delicious and great service. Eyasu and Momo were awesome and the owner Rita were so welcoming. Love the presentations as well of the Balsamic, olive oils and chocolates. Very cozy place, lots of choices and food is delicious. Muito bon. Bon appetit!

I originally planned to visit a nearby restaurant that’s a bit Instagram-famous, but they were fully booked. On a recommendation from the waiter at that spot, I wandered around the corner to this place—and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere had great vibes and a lovely outdoor area. My server, Momo (apologies if I got the name wrong), was fantastic. I trusted his recommendations for every course, and he absolutely delivered—he suggested some of the best local wine I’ve ever tasted! I started with a meat and cheese selection, followed by cacio e pepe gnocchi, and finished with tiramisu. I don’t have photos of the second half of the meal because the lovely Momo kindly charged my phone for me as it was out of battery. He even brought out some special local chocolate with a pairing that was absolutely delightful. This place is incredible. Don’t sleep on it!

We spent our last night in Rome here at Masto and it was the best memories that we are taking from Italy! The service is fast and excellent with the owner Rita personally coming to meet the customers and recommending dishes. We wanted to sit outside as it was hot inside but there were no seating available, but she made the staff set up extra tables outside to accommodate our wishes!!! Coming to the food and drinks, they were gourmet level, excellent quality and taste. The service is warm and the ambience lovely. Just the place for a romantic date or a dinner with friends at a reasonable price . Definitely recommended.

A wonderful and intimate dining experience! The footprint of this restaurant is very small compared to American standards, but what it lacks in size it makes for in quality! Just a short walk from The Aventine Keyhole, the staff and the food are amazing! To enjoy local cuisine with ingredients sourced around Rome makes it truly one-of-a-kind! Our wonderful waiter, Fyasu, spoke perfect English and was able to help us curate our dinner, and for such quality ingredients the price is very affordable! Finding these local gems is truly what we love about traveling and engaging with the people who live there are the memories we take back home with us!

We loved this little restaurant. Impeccable, friendly service, truly delicious food at very reasonable prices. Our server, Momo, introduced us to several local products. The atmosphere was wonderful, with pretty and authentic decor. Our favorite restaurant since the beginning of our stay in Rome!

Spinti dalle tante recensioni positive, abbiamo deciso di prenotare in questo piccolo ma curatissimo ristorante. Siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e le portate che ci hanno proposto sono state deliziose. In particolare abbiamo apprezzato gli gnocchi alla carbonara, il pollo ripieno e il gustoso scrigno di mele e mandorle. Veramente un’ottima esperienza!

Cena memorable para celebrar nuestro 25 aniversario de boda. Disfrutamos de la lasaña de alcachofa, degustación de mortadela, parmesano con vinagre balsámico añejo, risotto de hongos, poliéster de ternera y ternera y brócollini salteado. Es un espacio pequeño, íntimo, casual. Fuimos cálidamente recibidos por el propietario (Rita) con 2 vasos de prosecco y bien atendido por nuestro camarero Emiliano. Las reservas son imprescindibles. Al cierre de la comida trajeron un poco de ron panameño y una pieza de chocolate artesanal que hacen. Terminamos comprando 4 barras de chocolate para llevar a casa. Fantástica experiencia!
