Martinucci Laboratory In Castro

Undoubtedly the products are inimitable, Martinucci is a guarantee. However, after standing in a very long queue (like every Martinucci you find around Puglia), we only ordered two pasticciotti (very good and of any flavour). Upon leaving, we were looking for a table to sit and enjoy them, as it was very crowded. We only find one free one (among other things in the Sun, which is why no one wanted to sit down), but we decide to go there anyway. We didn't even have time to take a bite of the pasticciotto before a waiter approached us and told us that the tables were reserved exclusively for table service, not for those who had taken at the counter and that we should have read the sign. We understand the situation, we don't say anything so as not to argue, we eat quickly and leave. Considering the turnout (as in all Martinucci), we expected at least a little kindness and understanding, also because among the people (and considering that the bar is small), we had not seen the sign. We always give respect, but it is also right to receive it.

Excellent place to have breakfast, lunch, aperitif, dinner. We had a dinner based on excellent local dishes, beer and excellent cocktails. All delicious, quick to arrive, in a quiet place.

Pleasant place located in the Castro Marina square. Excellent ice creams and desserts. Delicious and well-assorted aperitifs. All the staff are attentive, professional and kind. Prices in line with the location. Advised!

All the "Martinucci" of Salento from Lecce to Tricase are EXCELLENT laboratories, freshness of the food and location with 9/10 service.

ADVISED!!! Truly delicious pasticciotto (with cereals with cream and apples). Good cocktails. Impeccable service, the staff was really too helpful.

Shops present in every corner of Salento, good pastries and also ice creams and granitas. Good prices. Often crowded and noisy place.

I enjoyed a good cup of ice cream. The place, on the main square of Castro, is delightful and the service is fast, polite and smiling. There were all the useful ingredients for a beautiful Salento summer evening.

A true institution here in Salento. They truly have everything, from sweet to savory. Of course we are talking about large distributors, so home-made is different from that of small distribution but they defend themselves well both in terms of tastes and prices. Always impeccable and precise service. Small note: at the Martinucci's in Santa Maria di Leuca they have the column for the free distribution of both natural and sparkling water.
