My partner and I are now regular customers of Martinez, a point of reference in the heart of Como, right in Piazza Volta. The location is suggestive, with tables overlooking the square and a relaxed atmosphere with the kitchen always open.
During our last lunch we ordered a salad with grilled chicken (abundant and fresh) and a well-cooked slice of beef.
Contrary to what I have read, the service has always been attentive and friendly.
One of Martinez's strong points is its versatility: perfect for a lunch in the centre, an aperitif with friends or a more intimate dinner.
For us it's a fixed stop!

Good food with a great atmosphere and location. The truffle pasta and the pizzas were particularly delicious. Waiters are friendly but a bit slow.

Visit in mid-April, family of a couple with two daughters.
The restaurant is located in a winning area, Alessandro Volta Square in Como.
1. Beautiful atmosphere with excellent location.
2. The food was fine, I didn't fall out of my chair, but definitely fine. We took a pizza that died a shell, pasta Cacio e Pepe which was wonderful, and sea bass with seafood and oysters, mediocre, a really weak dish.
In addition to a very fine Tuscan wine.
3. Excellent service, courteous and kind staff.
4. Very expensive prices.

The pizza was good. I think 5 euros for 1 Coperto is too much. But apparently you can do that with tourists (but only once)!

Piatti deliziosi e curati nei minimi dettagli, con ingredienti freschissimi e sapori perfettamente equilibrati. Una vera gioia per il palato! Drink originali e preparati con grande maestria.
Staff accogliente, professionale e sempre attento a ogni esigenza. Il servizio è stato rapido e impeccabile, nonostante il locale fosse pieno.
Un luogo dove eccellenza e attenzione al cliente sono di casa. Tornerò sicuramente!
