A high-end pizzeria restaurant with very warm and attentive service, and truly special dishes. The restaurant is on the seafront, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, but within walking distance. Excellent, I'd say!

We've been coming to this place for many years now. Never a disappointment, always satisfied. Alessandro, Manuela, and the entire staff are always very kind and helpful. The restaurant is excellent, as is the pizza. The menu offers a good selection of traditional dishes and new interpretations, but I prefer the specials of the day, which are always a wonderful discovery. All the ingredients are top-quality. Always and only the freshest fish. Just steps from the sea, surrounded by the sea breeze, it's a pleasure to eat at Mare Chiaia.

During a short vacation in Ischia, on the recommendation of some residents, I was able to enjoy excellent food at "Mare Chiaia," a restaurant and pizzeria run by my good friend Alessandro. We went for dinner on September 2 and 3, 2025. The first evening, we enjoyed excellent pizzas and excellent mussel-based first courses. The second evening, we enjoyed a delicious tempura, cod-based second courses, and excellent first courses (paccheri with amberjack sauce and monkfish sauce), all accompanied by an excellent white wine, and to finish, a delicious dessert accompanied by an excellent local liqueur. What can I say? Alessandro (the owner) is a delightful, kind, and sociable person. The staff is courteous, friendly, and ready to accommodate any request (and unlike some annoying, nosy, and often incompetent places). What can I say? There are few places where you find all this, so I can only be satisfied. And, on a future trip, who knows, maybe back to Ischia (a wonderful place), my go-to pizzeria will be MARE CHIAIA. The prices, what can I say? The quality/price ratio is acceptable, for me, is fair. I can only recommend it 100%. P.S. I think even those who aren't big eaters will feel at home. Excellent experience at this delightful restaurant located just steps from the sea. Clean and very comfortable location, helpful and attentive staff. Excellent quality food with carefully prepared dishes suitable for all palates...even vegans. Amazing pizza, and delicious first courses. Nothing to envy from the more renowned restaurants. The best scialatielli allo scoglio I've ever tasted! We went once for takeout pizzas (also very good and reasonably priced), other times for a quick aperitivo, and one evening for dinner. The outdoor tables are on a platform overlooking the beach, where you can watch the sunset over the Chiaia beach (Forio). We had the calamari and shrimp cuoppo, crispy and delicious. The golden-brown and fried anchovies were also fragrant and fresh. For our first course, the scialatielli allo scoglio, filled with mixed seafood, perfectly al dente and cooked to perfection. Generous portions and reasonable prices considering the location, the quality of the ingredients, and the excellent service. Highly recommended!

I was here for dinner with my relatives, and what we were served was a work of art. We had two cuoppo and some anchovies as appetizers. The cuoppo was delicious and well-fried. The anchovies were magnificent, golden brown, and fragrant. Next, we had four fish entrees (three seafood and one mussel risotto), all excellently cooked. We also had a mixed grill of fish, which was excellently cooked. For five of us, with wine, water, service charge, and coffee, we spent just over €150. They also have very good pizzas at very affordable prices. Truly an experience worth repeating, and I recommend it to everyone.

A lovely restaurant overlooking the beach. The food is very good and of excellent quality, and there's a wide variety, including pizzas, first courses, second courses, and salads. The staff is friendly and attentive. Finally, I think the prices are fair, even lower than other similar restaurants in the area. I recommend it!
